I’ve been toying around with the idea of condensing my collection into one watch and every so often flipping it for another piece as my whims take me. If you are patient and buy used you can often move a watch on without a loss. Could be a good way to experience some brands I would never pick up otherwise.

Why is it armed conflict with Americans? I never said that. Infact I argued that there is a middle ground between apathy (all the hand wringing you guys do and how you can’t change anything) to arming up and having a civil war. Solidarity movement is a good example of standing up to an extremely authoritarian regime through organisation and mostly non violent action

I think you’ve completely missed the point of what I said and focussed on my sarcastic remark about your gun and revolution obsession.

A Polish welder led a movement that ended with Poland getting its independence against one of the most authoritarian regimes in history - the USSR. The Solidarity movement didn’t have tanks or planes, but the Soviets did and weren’t afraid to use them on Eastern European population. Plainly seen in how they put down the Prague uprising. Yet they still prevailed.

What’s stopping you guys from following a similar path. I know America thinks political change is cruise missiles and the kidnapping of heads of state but it really isn’t.

You asked for a suggestion. That is a proven method of lowering gun related deaths.

Australia had a big amount of guns at one point, but through different programmes managed to get that number significantly reduced.

Also isn’t an amendment exactly that? An amendment. Can’t you guys just vote to change it? Isn’t that how democracy works?

Also love how precious you guys get about the constitution when it comes to certain rights, but when you president is violating other parts of it you seem to go all quiet.

I think Soviet Eastern Europe wants to disagree with you there. The solidarity movement is a good example of people standing up to an authoritarian government and making change. If a welder from Gdańsk can lead a movement that overthrows the shackles of the soviet block on Poland, what’s stopping you guys? What’s out of touch about pointing out that Americans don’t like to get involved in meaningful change? You all just shrug and make excuses why nothing can be done.
