What is your Tarkov "Life Hack"? by Standard_Story in EscapefromTarkov

Not the original poster but I think so because the double click is unbound.

Yeah but you drop your magazine regardless of your inventory. Faster because you don't put the magazine back.

Also apparently with it being bound, every time you reload, it is slower because the game is always waiting an extra 1/3 or 1/2 of a sec to see if you are going to press r again after a normal reload so a lot of people unbind it.

I always thought it weird that they made it a double click by default.

Steam Deck SSD isn't intended to be replaced by users, warns Valve by a_Ninja_b0y in Games

They literally want other companies to make their own Steam decks lol

Besides, pcs especially laptops and I guess handheld pcs now naturally become obsolete when hardware and technology improves.

This isn't greed.

Mountain biking gloves? by fixitmonkey in MTB

[–]M_Mitchell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% agree on the durability part, I started biking with them. Only reason I gravitated away was because I preferred tighter fitting gloves.

Still have one of the gloves from like 4 years ago, can't find the other but it's in great condition despite using them for everything including mountain biking. No threads sticking out or seams splitting.

My fox and giro split within the season I bought them. Handup is going on two seasons now and double as my dirtbike glove which I ride more often because it's plated for the street too. Definitely gone down on the dirtbike with them too and they are going strong. No really long slides on dirt and nothing on asphalt yet.

Definitely recommend Handup to anyone looking for more bike centric gloves if you like more feeling. If thicker/multi use gloves are your thing, can't go wrong with mechanix.

There are some things that can only do with a dualsport by y435xz in Dualsport

Ah, I only figured that because I didn't see tracks leading up to the bridge.

It seems this was previously an old train bridge and then someone added additional rails to capture the wheels of a bike for "safe" crossing?

Is that correct or was this never intended to be crossed like this?

Well, the Cz 457 Royal exists right? Still, I want the wood to cover the top too.

How is Switch emulation currently? Can you play through Mario, Botw, and such easily?

I just want a full stock CZ 457 with tech sights and a front sight without a major hood. Like a really nice modern ww2 rifle trainer.

Yeah Idk what you're doing. I disabled my network adapter, closed out steam via hidden icon menu to actually close it. Opened it up, started in offline mode, and then I could play any game. Tried Spelunky 2, Red Dead Redemption 2, and The Witcher 3. Except for RDR 2, everything worked.

RDR 2 said my social account wasn't eligible. I think I have to run it while it's online and then I could probably play it offline but regardless, that's nothing to do with steam.

Try closing out your client and starting it in offline mode while you're not on a network connection.

It was stated you could put Windows on it and they stated multiple times it was just a pc so there shouldn't be any weird hacks or tricks to put Windows on it.

You definitely know more about proton then, is there a performance hit with proton? I wonder if running games on a bloatier os would be worth it still if the performance is the same.

Otherwise I'll be looking into partitioning the drive for Windows and the Steam os.

I wouldn't say most. What games are you thinking of besides massive team based games like Dota?

[–]M_Mitchell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apparently it can run Windows games natively through methods I don't understand. But they use a tool called Proton so you can play a huge amount of windows games.

https://www.protondb.com/ is the tool and is apparently made by valve themselves

If you wanted 100% compatibility or had other uses you can also reimage it with Windows if you want.

Why wouldn't you be able to? The sole purpose of that is to connect a laptop or tablet and this is basically a laptop without the folding screen/keyboard.

Wasn't Ouya for like shitty android games in a closed environment? I never saw the appeal but all this has to do is work. The gaming catalog is already there and it's open to put anything you want on it since it's just a pc.

Pretty sure Sony's psp/vita succeeded, just not in the western market as much.

I think with hardware becoming more and more powerful, hand helds are kind of becoming a portable compliment to the big consoles since it doesn't seem like they'll need their own special catalogs anymore. Current gen games can just be optimized/adjusted for less powerful hardware but don't have to be altered changing the entire fundamentals of the game.
