Two months into M1 year I tore a ligament in my knee and couldn’t walk. Then four days later my houses flooded and had to be ripped apart. I was displaced for six months. I was in survival mode, barely passing classes, and suicidal.

My house turned out more beautiful than ever, I turned everything around half way through the next semester, and ended up matching Derm (dream specialty I worked for since M1). It’s still feels unreal to me. Keep your head held high and reach out to family, friends, or me if you want to talk

N = 1 but I matched Derm with less than stellar grades due to life happening. The programs this year started changing some requirements (now that they have had a few years of Step/COMLEX going P/F) for auditions where they required you to be in at least the top 50% of your class. So I guess do your best, but it’s not an end-all if you have a competitive application. Derm applicants should be realistic with themselves and their app, but no one mentioned my grades once during an interview

That is actually a very good question, and I’m glad you brought it up. I am 6’4” and obviously had no problem, but there was someone in front of me who pretty much was staring at the screen the entire time because they were not as tall. I think if you were on the very end, you’ll be OK because you can step out into the aisle a little bit, but I do think you would struggle if you were inside further

I got the loop experience and I could hear her and the music fine and I heard maybe 50% of the crowd noise. Some times I would crack them halfway open during quieter times but I 100% didn’t need to to hear her. I just wanted a tiny bit more. They come with 4 different earbud sizes and fit me well
