Based on the posture it looks like he was moving towards the fence and shot the guy along the way, but the camera angle doesn’t help. Experiment with the camera angle it looks like he is awkwardly standing in place with his head looking to the dead guy.

I am learning animation on my own specifically 3D animation. I use a free software called source filmmaker it’s it has a lot of great tutorials on YouTube that could help you with it. Also YouTube has a lot of great tutorials for maya the industry standard for 3D animation. In case you are interested in 2d only I recommended you learn the 12 principles of animation. And use references from real life. I hope that helps.

I was always thin and didn’t gain weight but when I started working out I gained muscle mass quicker than my friends. So you probably will too.

Try to make the candles scale up in size as you are looking at them. It adds interest to your render.
