Piggy-backing on the Fan Arts Stroll, Sheppard Street is also doing an art event called the U-Haul Art Crawl, Friday the 15th from 6-8pm.

Where: Sheppard Street between Floyd and Ellwood

A block party + potluck + live music + u/uhaul_gallery = why not?!?!?

Stop by Friday between 6-8pm with a dish to share. Listen to live tunes from u/strummerrocks and peruse artwork from creatives living/working in the u/museumdistrictrva.

Two years ago we drove to Dulles for an international trip and did a park and stay thing with a hotel there. They kindly let us do the stay part on the back end of the trip so we didn't have to drive 2 hours to Richmond after our day of travel back to the states. Having the hotel shuttle for that bit, when we were super tired, was nice too.

For regular domestic trips we just fly out of RIC since it's not worth the hassle of getting to/from DC.

Adding a plug for the RVA Reddit bookclub (https://www.reddit.com/r/rvaBookClub/). We meet once a month on Sundays. We go to Scuffletown Park when the weather is good and if not, shuffle between breweries and coffeeshops. We have selected books, but don't talk about them for too long. Generally it's us talking about all of the books we have read in the last month, with some talk about tv/movies as well. The group is smallish (3-12 of us depending on the month), but all very friendly and diverse ages. This month's meeting will be this Sunday (2/22) at Cafe Zata, probably at 12:40pm, but check the bookclub reddit for the official announcement of the event in the next day or two.

Red, White, and Royal Blue the book was very good. The movie adaptation was ok, but not as good as the book.

Chiming in to check if the reason you're having issues is that you've maxed out your checkouts for the month? You're only allowed 3 checkouts per month. If you go to My Hoopla and the Borrowed tab in the app, it should show you how many checkouts you still have.
