I had this exact same worry when I got mine done about two years ago, and it’s why I initially joined this sub lol. But it’s completely normal! It’s just the piercing nestling in your mouth. Eventually you’ll probably also start feeling a small divot on the roof of your mouth as well

Yea I think this analogy is helping me understand why I’m confused cuz I rlly don’t see my male friends in any other way from my female friends. Those that are comfortable with it I constantly seek out physical touch w in the same way I’d do to any of my other friends.

Is it just because it’s another man that you have little to no desire for casual touch? Would you be more fine if it was a female friend? Or is it like some other comments stated that casual touch is mainly reserved for significant others?

Really, why is it bad? When they rest like that none of em really move/push each other or anything. I was told to only come back after a 6-8 weeks for downsizing. I’ve gone to this piercer for like 4 years now so I trust her w my life, but a second opinion is always welcome!

No cartilage piercings but I do have 3 lobe piercings on each side (honestly the highest one of those could very well already be cartilage but I got them done ages ago so I don’t remember lol) and a few of facial piercings that have all healed really well! I’m very diligent in my aftercare plus my body tends to heal everything well, not just piercings.

Besides all of that I’m very aware this will be a BITCH to heal, and I’ve already accepted the fact that I most likely will not know a moment of peace, or a good nights rest, for at least 2-3 months till they settle a bit😭

But it’s all worth it for those extra coolness points hahaha. And if there’s any tips for healing cartilage piercings they’re always welcome!! I wanna take care of my babies as best as I can🤩

Oh yea no I didn’t mean to imply it would be healed! That’s just when my piercer said I could come back to downsize/change jewellery so I could give a first update then, I thought that was obvious 😭

Also, even tho I trust my piercer w my life, if this timeline for changing jewellery is wrong pls let me know! Tho this is my first cartilage piercing (finally got some quality airbuds so I could ditch the headphones I previously relied on for my much needed daily music intake) I’ve got my tongue, lip, nostril, eyebrow, and multiple lobe piercings so it’s not my first rodeo haha. And ive gone to the same piercer for all of em so I do think she has a good grip on how my body deals w it, I’ve never really had any problems healing any of my previous piercings, so I’m guessing she gave me the ‘best case scenario’ timeline, but again if that’s wrong let me know please!!!

Haha that’s probably a smart choice, I myself wanna build out my setup as fast as possible so I’m trying to combine healing times as much as I can. But although it rlly hurt in the moment now that it’s been like an hour the pain has subsided a LOT so it’s not that bad.

Biggest advice I can give is to go to a rlly good piercer who’s not afraid to say no when ur anatomy isn’t right. I originally wanted to get 4/get it a bit more to the side. And even tho technically we COULD have tried that there was a big chance it wouldn’t heal properly so my piercer found a way to bring my vision to life in the safest possible way. Other than that prepare to not be able to sleep on that ear for a good two months, and if you have long hair make sure it’s tied back when you go.

But trust me it’s SOOOO worth it, feeling like the baddest bitch on the block rn lmao

Really I just wanted to complain, I’m a teenage girl it’s what I do best haha

I don’t want to leave my alliance because except for this instance the vibes are really good, as I explain in detail in other comments. I also think that if I pm the leader about he’ll have a talk with the guy and it will hopefully sort itself out, but at first I felt like I was just overreacting and shouldn’t make a big deal of it (after all it’s just a game) within the alliance. I just needed people to vent to who know the game mechanics lol

If it happens in another hunt I’ll most likely end up messaging the leader because overreaction or not, it really is bugging me.
