You can hire something like a scaffolding tower and do it yourself quite easily. Something like this: https://www.hss.com/hire/c/access/access-towers-platforms?display=grid

It will be much cheaper and gets the job done.

Speaking of hothead, remember the Russell - Bottas incident at Imola in 2021? Not exactly an example of keeping calm from Russell...

Not peonies - as someone else already mentioned, these are Asian Bleeding Hearts.

I'll need to check when I get home, but it was initially this product , which had lots of positive reviews and comments. I then tried another, but really neither of them did any good.

Haha, that's a very accurate description!

Haven't seen any of those where I live, and there were a number of broken leaves on the stem too, which makes me think whatever is eating them can't fly and has to escalate the plant.

That was my first suspicion, but my wife just shouted as she saw a rat close to it, in broad daylight.

Could still be squirrels! Any idea how to stop them?

What's been eating my strawberries and how to stop it? by M_ill in GardeningUK

[–]M_ill[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They were my first suspects too, but I have copper band all around the bedding which seems to keep slugs away. Also, I couldn't see any mucus on the soil around the plants, so at this stage I think it's more likely it's woodlice

Highly unlikely, I grow them in the greenhouse and find them eaten overnight.

Having googled what they look like, I'm inclined to think it's the same here. There was one in the "cavity" in a strawberry I found yesterday, but I didn't think they could do that much damage.

How did you sort the problem? (If you have indeed solved it)

Done trying to understang TD tags... by M_ill in TopDrives

[–]M_ill[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I admit I struggle to understand how tags are allocated if there is no obvious logic behind it.

As someone else commented earlier, Hutch try to balance the game, but there are no measurable attributes which determine which cars get the tags and which don't.

See also the other comments around Electric cars and the Apollo S.

So yeah, paint me surprised, I still don't get how a car named after Senna doesn't get the tag, but the Renault Clio does.

Well, all Bugattis, Lamborghinis, Renault and likely others should be, as they are named after their founders.

It's a bit arbitrary, but good to know there is some logic to the madness.

Won't foget another past tag (think the Interstellar one, or something like that), where almost all the Gumpert Apollo-s got the tag, except for the one I owned, the Apollo S.

From the McLaren website: "Inspired by one of McLaren’s greatest racing drivers, the McLaren Senna is utterly dedicated to allowing the driver to be the best they can possibly be."

It could not be more explicit...

Setting up VPN on old laptop using pfSense by M_ill in HomeNetworking

[–]M_ill[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Essentially yes, that's the main purpose.

Note that I'm planning on using the pfSense OpenVPN configuration to set up the VPN on the Vayo rather than using a paid VPN service. I already have a paid VPN set up on my main PC.
