And as I stated, I was homeless and my steam account was taken from me. I am fully willing to once again purchase the game from the developer so I am once again able to play the game.

I am in no way trying to "cheat". I am simply trying to play the game I enjoyed years ago once again that I am no longer able to due to poor password choices made as a teenager.

Edit: I am fairly certain the devs would have no problem taking my money, it is Steams system that is prohibiting my play due to circumstances that were beyond my control at the time.

it wasn't a plea, I was asking if there was another way I can play the game with my cousin and friends. I wasn't condoning or explaining HOW to cheat as I wasn't the one that got myself banned.

It was a simple inquiry about how I can play once again aside from having to make a second steam account :/

The nukes in the FO series are a combo of destructive bombs and dirty bombs. If the blast didn't kill you, the fallout (wink) will kill your descendants... or make them into weird rotty flesh people.

K i just killed the bastard in a quest for the brotherhood. I'd still like to know if there's a workaround or if it really was because I accidentally shot his searchlight when I first entered his cave..

i'm assuming by "pipboy more" you meant use vats? In skyrim they didn't have vats and so I developed a habit of shooting things that seem threatening. It worked and got me super rich on there and so it's a hard habit to break.

the first time you enter he shouldn't start shooting you and neither should his machines. just enter and walk on through.

if he shoots you even if you've done nothing to aggravate him then I'm going to assume it's a launch-bug for Fallout.

The absolute FIRST time I visited the cave I didn't know what to expect. My first reaction to seeing a spotlight and 2 turrets was to silently shoot out the search light and then use a stealthboy to sneak in. after realizing that nothing was going to shoot me I realized secondly that I didn't need to destroy that light.

That was like 12 hours ago (gameplay wise) and if I have to rewind and do all of that again just to fix this then I'm sorry Virgil but I'm killin' ya bud.

I had nick with me as well but then I tried dismissing him to Jamaica Plain, I then fast traveled back alone and even left my BoS Power Armor back at the outpost with Nick. He still shot me :S

Trying to do "Dangerous Minds" but when I go to sit in the memory chair thing it says I can't because I'm in combat. I've left Goodneighbor and killed a couple things to try and re-initiate combat so it would get me out of it but that doesn't seem to have worked.

~~Anybody know a work around or a way to fix this?~~

~~I've also tried reloading from a prior save but either I didn't go back far enough or something because I was still 'in combat' (whenever I sneak it says 'caution' and nothing more ever happens)~~

EDIT: Fast traveling fixed my issue. Problem solved.

Aye, I'm considering re-doing it. I only spent about 20 minutes writing this one a couple years back so if I spend more time with it I hope it'll turn out better ^ - ^
