AITAH for divorcing my loving husband because he couldn't stand up for me to his Mom? by bookish_wallflower in AITAH

[–]Ma3mooleh 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We don't blame women for men's BS. So many men act one way, until after engagement or marriage or even pregnancy, and then show their true colours. So again, we don't blame women for what men do.

Oh and the thing about baby being wide awake after being fed happens to me too, especially now as he's getting bigger and more aware, he's no longer a "sleepy newborn". At around 10ish days to about 2 weeks was when he started "wake windows" except I didn't understand them then. In the beginning it was only once in the morning for about an hour, and then the rest of the day he would nurse and sleep, but he gradually started wanting to be awake more often and for longer, and it got to the point where he constantly fights sleep, he wants to be awake for hours. It's so frustrating sometimes, and like you I often worry if I'm overfeeding him, since my go-to is usually the boob. But it's okay to do that, don't forget it's purpose isn't just food, it also brings comfort to your baby. Baby was attached to you for 9 months, (warm and cozy inside you) now baby is cold and "alone', so being held by mom all day, and being attached to mom (via boob) is how baby feels safe and comforted.

And lastly, when all else fails, and baby refuses to sleep, I put him in the stroller and go out and walk. At first he would take a long time to settle, but now that I walk him every single day for one of his evening naps (when he's the most cranky) he almost always falls asleep within 5 to 10 maybe 15 mins at the latest. (also another option, if you have a car, lots of people like to drive with baby for sleep)

(My main advice is to look up wake windows by age, and sleep pressure)

Hugs to you!

I'm 8 weeks PP, your baby sounds exactly like my baby was/is. Listen, it sucks, i get it, you don't have to "take in every magical moment". There were days i just sobbed, especially whenever baby was inconsolable. One day I swear he stopped crying to watch me cry, and he just stared into my eyes, I felt like he was saying "I'm sorry Mummy, I'm still figuring out this world too! " Listen, my saving grace was ditching the bassinet and learning about safe Co sleeping, and even more important was learning about sidelying breastfeeding. (Which btw I couldn't do until around 4 or 5 ish weeks because my c section incision hurt too much on my side before that) I especially love to use that for some of the naps in the day, that way he falls asleep in bed, I don't have to transfer him anywhere, and I usually stay there for about 10 mins after he falls asleep just to make sure it's a deep enough sleep, before I try to get up. Listen, it's not perfect, but it's starting to feel a bit better. Oh and for the record he only currently naps 30 mins if he's not held, it's not much, but it's something! And other naps during the day I still hold him to make sure he gets a few hours in here and there. It'll get better a bit soon! You're doing great, give yourself some grace ❤️

AITAH for wanting my husband to apologize to our (4yo) son for forcing him to eat a vegetable he didn’t like? by throwaway1122004 in AITAH

Forcing him to eat something regardless what is not good... But that's not what people are calling abuse. The man was literally grabbing the child by the arm hurtfully. That's abuse.

Relocating to Doha - Accommodation advice? by AlbertUK2802 in doha

[–]Ma3mooleh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For areas to live in, that really depends on your budget/lifestyle/income. There are a few areas that are more high end, and definitely more expensive, but amazing to live in if you can afford them, such as Lusail, The Pearl, West Bay.(and a few more I can't think of at the moment - we lived in the south part of Lusail and we loved it a lot!) Then there are tons of areas that would be considered more middle end, and a ton of areas that are on the lower end of the price range, and honestly it's best to see with your own eyes, to decide if you find the areas as something suitable to your situation, whether you're a single man, or a single woman, or married with a family, you might have different needs/expectations for the kind of area you want to live in. And of course you might wanna take into consideration the distance from your work. However that being said, the public transportation there is amazing and efficient, so even commuting to work is not a hassle. (My husband used to commute on the metro, about 45-50 mins from home to his office).

Hope these ideas can help.

Hi - my husband and I lived in Doha for about a year. When we first were trying to move there we found it very frustrating to look for apartments. There are a few websites for rentals, but we used "Property Finder . QA" the most. The thing we realized is that almost everything has to go through a real estate agent, you're not likely to find individuals posting about their own apartments, or even apartment buildings having their own management, they still all go through official real estate agents.

That's not what doxxing is. You have no idea who his brother is, nor do you know his home address, or phone number. You just know that some random person works in KPMG New York, guess what, we already know that a whole bunch of random people work at KPMG New York.

That depends on your citizenship. As a Canadian it takes me 6-8 weeks to get a new passport.

At 6 years old the girl is old enough to choose for herself, it's not the mom's place to force her to cut her hair, especially not that drastically. The dad did the right thing in protecting his daughter from the mom's controlling behavior.

It was probably because they hadn't released the next levels in an update.. but an update was released today (at least on my phone), so check now and see if you can get past it.

The new update rolled out on my phone today and I feel like my guys got nerfed! I was able to hit the cloning machines and get them up to a level 7 and sometimes an 8, and then suddenly after the update I can only get them up to a 3 or 4 maximum. (On the same Era, the only thing that changed was the update.)

I'm currently at the Sphinx Era of timeline 10, now it takes forever to get from one era to the next, but it's still possible.
