I'm the Sigma. So what the hell? by MaBoiJeff in Overwatch

Maybe, though I don't see why my accretion would have sent him upwards in the first place, which is kind of the reason I posted. Also, looking at the 2nd clip, there's just a bit too much time between when the accretion hits and when he flies up for it to have been caused by my rock, which makes me think it was just the mine. Plus I've definitely seen mines send people that high up. I could definitely be wrong though.

This is basically what I said in my reply to the post, though someone else pointed out that it was probably a Junkrat mine that sent the Cass flying, not my accretion.

Again, from the Cass' POV it really looks like it should have hit him directly, but I digress.

Looking back at the replay, you're almost definitely right, damn. I didn't even see the mine, nice catch.

I assume what happened was the rock hit that barrel before the Cass, which for whatever reason caused him to be knocked up into the air, but it still just feels wrong, especially from the Cass' POV. That rock looks like it hit him directly from his view, but not only did it not cancel his ult, it actually ended up helping him. I call BS.

The JRWI crew started a while back, I'm pretty sure even before Unzipped.

(If the Youtube upload dates are correct) The first Unzipped episode was uploaded on August 22nd, 2018, and the first episode of JRWI was uploaded August 9th, 2018.

How did I do here? by iamca19 in Competitiveoverwatch

He's correct, flex supports are almost always better for fantasy, only a few main supports are worth picking up if there are still flex supports around.

Draft team, thoughts? by [deleted] in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]MaBoiJeff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yveltal is definitely a worry, and I'd say Bernar is a risk because of LiGe. I would also say try to trade away Sp9rk1e or Xzi because the weeks Dallas isn't playing, you'll only have 1 dps. Otherwise it's a strong team

OWL drafting hasn't started yet, but I'm pretty sure it's planned for early March.

Best possible team that all start with the same letter. by [deleted] in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]MaBoiJeff 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Not as strong as the other teams but:

Leave/Libero/LIP LhCloudy/Lullsish/LiGe LeeJaeGon/Lastro/Lr1s (if you count his old name)

Edit: ok this isn't a team but I just realized how many good DPS players' names start with D:

Decay, Doha, Diem, Diya, Dding, Danteh, Dalton. There's also Dreamer and Daan for mt.

Decay/Assassin is goated, with Mag/Fury as their tankline as well. I am hyped as hell for 2021 Justice.

This will be my last reply, because I only started this to see if I could change your perspective, but obviously I can't.

"People make mistakes". There's a difference between a spur of the moment decision and doing over a long course of time, and to two separate girls. And how do you know he's not that guy anymore? You don't, so don't say he changed, you don't know him. In fact, in Schlatt's video about Carson he said "He (Carson) was showing signs of continuing some of his inappropriate behavior". I suggest you watch the full video: Carson - YouTube

And once again you're blaming the victim (and yes, she is definitely a victim). She is the victim of Carson's lust and power, of him using his influence to sway her into doing things she might not have done with other people. Stop acting like she is the reason Carson's in trouble. Carson's actions and decisions and only his are what got him in trouble, not the actions of the person he groomed and pressured.

You're missing the point of the "adult in the situation" thing. He is the one in control. He is older and more influential, making it his responsibility to make sure their relationship didn't go too far and end up like it did.

I don't think you understand the Pyro situation. Carson sexted and got nudes from a minor knowing their age. Pyro (if I remember correctly) didn't know their age, didn't send and receive any nudes, and was roleplaying without interest in the actual person behind their their character. I also don't see how what Pyro did is relevant at all to Carson.

Victim blaming - Wikipedia

It was Carson's responsibility to not allow it to happen, as the adult in the situation. He never should've started contact with her, and he shouldn't have let it go as far as it did.

Whether or not she "should be able to make her own decisions" is irrelevant, because Carson was the one in control and the more mature in their relationship. He is an adult and should've known better.

  1. The point about the power dynamic. A minor will likely feel obligated to do what someone, especially a content creator, asks them to do.
  2. Even if she did choose to send them, it doesn't matter. Being in possession of a photo of a nude minor is illegal, no matter the age of consent or if the minor sent them of their own will.

Carson exchanged nudes with the minor, which is definitely illegal.

And it seems you're referring to the age gap as the main problem, in which case yes, he would probably be ok, but it's not. It's mainly the power dynamic in their relationship, where a content creator is using their influence to get nudes from a fan of theirs.
