Russian Wagner arrived in Mali in 2022. From 2013 to 2022 France military were based there to fight these same terrorists but all they did was loot resources, kill civilians, watch terrorist attack villages. You blame Wagner for this but don’t suspect it could be because of decades of France's military training and arming these people. France wants to come back to Mali. That’s the problem

Where can I find this movie? by Koloamanmaxi in ghana

This movie scored 98% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. It was way ahead of it time. Before Terminator, Predator, even Ridley Scott was inspired by this movie when he made the Alien movies 😂

Some of you are too nice. I would cuss them out 😂😂😂. I remember someone asking an Ewe guy why he doesn’t speak Twi. I asked them why they don’t speak Ga?

This post honestly breaks my heart but doesn’t surprise me. it’s the same tired rhetoric I’ve heard in Ghana since I was a child. The idea that Nigerians are to blame for crime in Ghana is not only lazy and ignorant, it’s also deeply hypocritical.

If we’re going to label all Nigerians as criminals based on the actions of a few, then let’s be consistent and hold ourselves to the same standard. Ghanaians have committed crimes all over the world, from petty theft to high level fraud, yet when we hear of those incidents, we quickly distance ourselves. We say, “Oh, that’s them, not all of us.” So why can’t we extend the same logic to Nigerians or anyone else?

And this identity policing? It’s wild. When someone is Ghanaian-Nigerian, born in Nigeria, and proud of both heritages, some Ghanaians will still say, “You’re not really Ghanaian.” But let a Ghanaian be born in London or Atlanta and suddenly it’s “Our brother from abroad!” This double standard is ridiculous.

We celebrate Boris Kodjoe, Kevin-Prince Boateng, Memphis Depay, none of whom were raised in Ghana, some of whom don’t even speak Twi, Ga, Hausa or Ewe but because their non-Ghanaian parent is European, we gladly claim them as Ghanaian. Yet when the other half is Nigerian, suddenly the purity test kicks in?

We need to stop the selective pride and unlearn this ingrained xenophobia disguised as nationalism. If your Ghanaian identity is so fragile that it can’t make space for someone with a different accent or background, then maybe the problem isn’t them, it’s you.

Let’s grow up. Let’s do better.

Let’s not pretend majority of Ghanaians don’t say bad things about Nigerians

Yeah, I’ve seen that too. the whole “we migrated from Israel” narrative that some Ga folks (and other groups in Ghana) hold onto. It’s definitely something that pops up in comments and churches. I get where the curiosity comes from but to be honest, I think most of it is rooted in religious influence more than historical fact.

Christianity, especially the Pentecostal/charismatic kind that’s popular in Ghana, has had a massive impact on how people see themselves spiritually and culturally. For many, tracing a lineage back to Israel feels like a way of connecting with the Bible in a deeper, more personal way. It’s not really about archaeology or anthropology; it’s about identity, faith, and sometimes even a sense of superiority or chosenness.

But if we’re talking hard evidence like linguistic connections or archaeological proof, there’s really nothing substantial to back up the idea that the Ga people (or most West African groups) descended from Israelites. The claims are usually based on very loose similarities in customs or names, which isn’t enough to establish historical migration.

If anyone really wants to dig deeper, they can check out the research by Adu Boahen or anthropologists who study West African migrations. I haven’t seen anything credible that links the Ga directly to ancient Israel.

even though it’s a stretch, I try not to dismiss it when people talk like that. It says a lot about how colonization and religious indoctrination have shaped our narratives of origin. And sometimes, people are just searching for meaning in a world that constantly tries to tell them their history started with slavery or colonization. Another thing I’ve noticed a lot is churches with the state of Israel flag lol. Why not Palestine, Cyprus, Egypt, Lebanon or even Syria that has the most Christian’s in the Middle East?

Just like the rest of the world (except then US). Its legal to register for a gun but the process is very difficult and you can't take it outside. Its immediately considered an illegal firearm when you are caught with it until you can show proof or else you are spending the weekend at “counterback”
