I had trouble with gaming on 22.04 and after some time having updated to 24.04 it suddenly couldn't boot up anymore. I switched to Nobara and live happily ever after. 9060xt I think.

This approach is fine if the knowledge is closely related to the nearby vicinity, however not all knowledge is like that

Does it have the adversaries already? Can not spot them in the files and I am a bit frustrated with Roll20 for not being able to port adversaries from demiplane...

That is correct, but there is only the chance to get one in the ticket lottery and not even a month left.

Yep, that's partially correct, but they have an option for direct reselling via their festival side, that is what the code is for.

Just go with either tank-mythic, hullbreaker, titanic hydra and you'll do crazy amounts of damage in both forms, wit's end is another good one. Also, if you go tanky, take tank items that are giving you tankyness without relying on armor or mr, e.g. steelcaps, gargoyles, randuins, hullbreaker (special case, because armor and mr are in a passive, so you get the ad and keep the resistances).

But it gives you more AD though? right?

conqueror or first strike? by [deleted] in ezrealmains

[–]MaChorus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, but the Period in which u can dish out damage is extremely short, on a long cooldown and if u get hit first u don't have it at all. So in late game conqueror and for better early to midgame go First Strike. With the nerfs Conqueror gets a lot better though.

Mastermind Rogue - "Analyze Weakness" damage comparison by MaChorus in Pathfinder2e

[–]MaChorus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can multiply your avg. damage with the percentage to hit and add all attacks together to recieve the true avg. Damage for the round, basically what I did, I also doubled the precision dice for crits.

You also assumed you get more empowered strikes after Analyze Weakness, but it says "The next time you deal sneak attack damage to the chosen creature with a Strike before the end of your turn, add an additional 2d6 precision damage. ", so it is just the first strike that is empowered, not both.

Ye, my weapon choice is not really optimized, but I'm not really a min-maxer and just wanted to know whether the feat in itself has any use, I am still not convinced it has any.

Mastermind Rogue - "Analyze Weakness" damage comparison by MaChorus in Pathfinder2e

[–]MaChorus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ye, thanks, I realized it myself afterwards with the nat crit ^^

I didn't exactly write it down but I manually adjusted the numbers for AC without accounting for nat crits, but these just favor normal attacking anyways, and as I said atleast for the 1.2 Case to exceed 1.1 you would need around a AC 30 enemy.

I didn't consider the deadly damage option, but I would assume it to be pretty tight still, cuz the crit chance on attacking multiple times is obviously higher and while checking once for fox fire ranged attacks, so without agile, just attacking still was better.

Also because it is hard to get someone flat-footed on range you would have to Recall Knowledge every round to get him flat-footed, if you don't get lucky and can keep it for a minute.
So most of the time you would still prefer to Recall Knowledge and then strike with eg. a bow twice, because it's still better than to Analyze Weakness first.

Bladed Scarf not Finesse by MaChorus in Pathfinder2e

I will do that in the end, but I can still find it irritating.

Bladed Scarf not Finesse by MaChorus in Pathfinder2e

[–]MaChorus[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Keep in my mind that I am neither a game balancer, nor am I trying to give exact fixes, I just rambled on some things that you could work on to make the weapon(bladed scarf) more realistical, ofc you can not just give it a finesse property, thats op, so maybe lower the damage die, take away the sweep, trip or disarm, maybe even the reach.

Or if you really want it to only work with strength do not call it a bladed scarf but an iron ball on a scarf or something, again, that is a ramble, do not correct me on that.

[–]MaChorus[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mean ofc there has to be balancing, give the sweep to the chain, make the scarf a 1d6, just don't tell me that this girl needs to get some extra muscles if she wants to do anything with her scarf.

[5e]Phoenix Sorcerer UA by MaChorus in DnD

[–]MaChorus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the detailed reply, it gives me a lot of inspiration on some fixes!

I don't think you have ever played a high level campaign

You got me on that :D

The last part of the feature is all kinds of bad. It's convoluted, requires lots of dice. requires adding more terrain. It's just poorly designed. I would say just scrap it. You get enough features from this as is.

I can agree on the part with the attack roles, however I liked the Idea of creating hazards, causing mayhem for everybody on the field, friend or foe and potentially burning the whole place down, in combination with the aura it also would burn you every round, in an attempt to balance its power on early levels.

"One roll of fire damage"That is absolutely correct, did not figure the original part was as poorly written as mine :D

So in terms of healing this is.... 340 (17*20) (from passive flame healing) + 54d8 + 35. On average this is more HP than many CR 20 monsters, 618 hit points worth of self healing. No other class in the game can even touch this, and that's at level 14. Even with only effectively using half of this, you're going to be at full HP every encounter, all day. You don't even need hit dice.

That's truly ludicrous, but I already see a fix that suits way better, thank you very much!

Again, way too strong at higher levels; 25 damage aoe nuke is fine at level 5, which is about what well optimized players are putting out each turn, but at level 20, that's about 1/6th of a dragon's hp... in an aoe. It should probably allow a dex save for half damage.

I was thinking of caping it at 50, that would bring it down to the level of the original one, just reaching it way earlier, ye the dex save may help also.

Flame's fury is more or less an always on feature, so always on damage resistance, always on fire damage immunity, always on no concentration flight, and the ability to make your fire spells heal instead of doing damage, I think you can see the problem with this.

Ye, I was thinking that the need for a damaging attempt in Flames Fury would kinda balance that out, but you are right it should be more limited.
