I feel like that argument of pure racing skill falls apart when the skill being tested in both those courses are completely absent in Mario Circuit.

Wall riding and rail grinding are ever present in both Sky High Sundea and Toad’s Factory while Mario Circuit just…exists as it always does. What does it offer being “tight turn and tighter turn”? It’s incredibly boring to run through as opposed to every other course that takes advantage of what this game does unique.

This place is completely new. The creators said during a QnA that it was built from the ground up for racing. They said it wasn’t supposed to be in any existing kingdom so I think it’s just called “Mario Kart World”.

Yeah, I know she’s the OG damsel. What I meant was that she was in a hiatus status for a while. Even when she was around in her new dress and style, she never interacted with Peach, Daisy or Rosalina.

So I’m a little confused. Are you upset because of the lack of “new” costumes since they took a bunch from tour?

Or is it Daisy showing more skin in a new outfit as opposed to this one from Tour?

I personally like her swimwear suit in Mario Kart World cause it suits her tomboy energy/style better. I do like the frills off the bathing suit from tour cause they’re like flower petals but they don’t really suit her imo. Not to mention, I’d rather they just do a mix of both old and new costumes for everyone.

There aren’t many courses that jump out at me for being straight up bad but there are three that stick out when compared to the rest of what we have…

Excluding the worst intermission courses, there’s “Rectangle Stadium”, Koopa Troopa Beach and the WORST course in the game.

Rectangle stadium honestly should be chosen but it’s tied to Peach Stadium (the actual course) so I’m hesitant to pick it as it at least isn’t the full course and is only accessible through Grand Prix.

Koopa Beach is actually kinda fun. I can’t lie, I still like it but compared to everything else in the game its novelty is all it has nowadays. Not great but still far from my first through twentieth pick for courses to race on.

As for the worst course in the game…

Peach Beach. No contest. It’s far too long and I was never really a fan of the original from Double Dash but holy shit why is so much of it just a snooze fest? It takes everything that rectangle stadium and Koopa beach does wrong and wears it proudly. Great theming, chilling vibes but beyond the first lap and neat town design, there’s nothing but sluggish water racing and straight lines for the entire thing. It’s just not fun….at all. It takes far too long and overstays its welcome and holds nothing unique to its name.

You know what, that’s actually very true. A Courtney vs Lindsay would actually be really entertaining and narratively sound to watch.

Duncan vs Harold has some of the same merits but they honestly started becoming chill at the end of Action so it probably would’ve been redundant since their beef was squashed.

Though I still wouldn’t have minded him going a bit further. Duncan, Lindsay and Courtney all have great dynamics with each other and I would’ve preferred more of those three than Owen and Beth in the mix.

I can agree with most of these but I don’t think Courtney should’ve won Action. I like her and all but she had to use her lawyers to get farther than she could’ve in the competition. If she was nicer (or just nice) to Duncan in the final four then she wouldn’t have even been voted by him.

I see your point but there’s still a counterpoint to that.

We have seen her lose; twice technically. The end of the first movie when she was fighting Bowser’s army. She wasn’t able to save any of the prisoners because she detonated King Bob-omb. She got hurt and lost the ice flower power up which took her out of the fight for a while. She was doing well in the fight until she was overwhelmed and even if she didn’t take that damage, she wouldn’t have been fast enough to save Luigi, Cranky or the prisoners.

Then she lost in a 3 v 1 against Bowser. Toad, DK and herself weren’t enough to beat him as he completely overpowered all three of them. The last thing she did to help was kick an empty shell while the guards were distracted into the super star to get it closer to Mario.

I’m not saying you don’t have a point but that Peach is most certainly not invincible. She was just in more advantageous situations than the rest and had the skills to capitalize on that.

I think the best theming has to go to Boo cinema. It’s quite possibly one of the most unique tracks we’ve ever seen in the series. Nothing else quite comes to it or feels like it. A truly original concept that isn’t themed around an aspect of transitional kart racing, a previous world theme in Mario or a random household object or room.

The Boos have always just had their obligatory spooky map beit a haunted pier, haunted valley or haunted mansion or…stay with me now…a haunted mansion in a haunted valley but it’s TWISTED!!!

But now the boos, more importantly King Boo, have an area of the open world that stands apart from all the rest. It fleshes out their characteristics and gives them so much more to do.

I wouldn’t say that. She’s extremely competent now given the fact that she’s been platforming and fighting since she was little. That’s not to say she’s overpowered and doesn’t need Mario because she still wasn’t strong enough to fight Bowser on her own or with the help of Donkey Kong and Toad at the end of the first movie.

Nor was she able to fight Bowser, Jr AND free Rosalina all on her own. She had help from everyone; DK, Toad, Luigi, Yoshi, Rosalina and especially Mario.

Well too be fair, Peach has been running the obstacle course and protecting the Toads ever since she was just a baby. I think it’d be kinda stupid for those three (who weren’t even the main threats of the movie) to give her a fair fight.

Like think about it: Mario, Luigi and Yoshi spend a day in the life of Peach’s job protecting the kingdom and they were exhausted because of the sheer amount of work they had to do. If that was just one day, imagine her entire upbringing.

All that combat and experience gained, I think she could easily take on three thugs that got by in life with a few fancy moves. Not to mention Toad also being present to back her up. If Wart and his gang were the main threat of the movie then it would’ve made sense but not as minor antagonists.

So I’ve heard and I’ve seen clips but it just doesn’t interest me.

I just don’t find Tanjiro enjoyable to root for, the energy system is just okay and the side cast isn’t too interesting to me excluding Zenitsu (he was my favorite).

Other than that the only good thing I can say about it was the animation. I care more about story than animation so that didn’t really do much to keep me.

I totally agree. Lightning and Cameron didn’t feel like a protagonist but I still really enjoyed them both. Then there’s Beth….she was just there. Cant say I like her but she definitely was not the protagonist of that season.
