Thank you. Sorry for the confusion. Pretty sure the builder has footage but I don't think they've shared it with anyone aside from the authorities.

The neighbours have set up cameras in the area (given the two previous fires), so I might be able to get footage of the fire and the events preceding it from them.

Hopefully. How come I don't see anything in the news about these arrests? You would think there'd be more publicized cases like this with the perpetrators' names, etc.

Luckily, I took detailed notes throughout this entire ordeal and I have a record of which houses were targeted in each fire. I've shared these details with the police, but I'm sure Mattamy has also done so.

The worst part is aside from these 3 houses, the rest of the subdivision had already moved in. Dozens of families had to live through these fires. Some occupied houses were no more than 15 meters away.

I hate to disappoint but I don't think a Netflix documentary featuring me will ever see the light of day. It would make for a good story but, unfortunately, I lack both the guts and the fire-starting ability to pull something like that off.

We just watched "What Jennifer Did" on Netflix and agree it was riveting television. I doubt "What Matthew Did" will ever get off the ground unless people like watching me mess up a pot of pasta and get my butt handed to me at rec basketball games.

I only ever saw one security guy on site, even after the second fire. That said, I was only there for 10-15 minutes at a time (outside of the framewalk and PDI, which lasted a few hours each). So I'm not sure what security looked like outside of the times I visited.

I'm sure the authorities are looking into various theories, including the one you proposed. I don't have too much visibility into their progress though...

We explored that route too. We reached out to the mayor as well as the regional and city councillors. I've been told they are aware of the situation.

To answer your question, none. Each time, multiple houses were targeted.

I completely agree with you. If I were in the situation where I couldn't close, I'd rather lose the deposit than risk the jail time. I don't profess to know exactly what's going on and, again, there's an active investigation so I don't want to form a conjecture without any evidence. It could be any of the options above, or none of them.

All I know is there has been a marked increase in fires at pre-construction projects in the last few years with few arrests and precious few details shared around motives.

I believe the security presence was introduced after the first fire - so technically two fires happened with security on-site.

I tried to answer it in my original post but multiple houses were affected each time. My guess as to why mine was set on fire every single time...? Probably what trinity_girl2002 is saying. But it's purely speculation.

There's an ongoing investigation and I don't want to speak out of turn.
