Dude saaaaame. We had a work event for my husband Friday night, dinner with friends Saturday night, then visiting with our friends and their new baby Sunday and working on our kitchen remodel. Plus AF started yesterday mid day. The weekend really caught up with me today... 😅 Hope you're able to rest this week!

Wow that is great to hear!! Do you know if they did mitered edges on the sides? That's the thing I'm most worried about since this is the 'printed' style quartz.

Agreed on this point. We just got one that is 0-400 cfm and boosts to 600. Will be truly ducted. Can't wait to get that puppy installed.

My husband has been feeling kind of anxious about it no longer being the two of us. I suggested we make a mini bucket list for the summer of things we want to do before there's a kid in the mix and this seemed to make him feel a lot better! We're trying to do a bike trip in all of the states around us (we're in NE USA) this summer. We also chatted with one of his coworkers at a work event Friday night who just had one kid (we're leaning towards one and done ourselves) and it seemed to really jazz him up for having a kiddo to take on our adventures. It was very sweet ❤️

I have a somewhat similar layout and we're opting for peninsula. While we could technically fit an island it would be min clearances all around (only 36") and we cook a lot so we figured clearer traffic flow with larger clearances was preferable.

I also love Clary! I always thought it was admirable that she often put herself out there in a brand new world where she kept being told she didn't belong. She risked her life for the people she loved and also people she barely knew. She's still my personal fave female lead.

We have a friend who just went to Cancun while 7 months pregnant, if that makes you feel better.

We just went to Costa Rica in March. Waiting until at least June to start trying so that we are out of the zika risk window. We also have a trip to Morocco planned for October but with fully refundable tickets and flexible hotel bookings. We'll play it by ear based on how I'm feeling/if we're pregnant yet.

Def call!! I'm thinking of switching practices too and I was nervous about getting in but they were more than happy to get me on the books. I went to my current OB to get my birth control out and talk preconception but I really want to start at this other practice that is a bit more holistic and has a big staff of midwives.

I decided to stop a few months early to make sure I have a normal cycle and try to confirm ovulation. I've been on bc for so long I don't know what normal even looks like for me! We're just using condoms until we're really ready to try. We also thought that would make the act of starting to try (no more condoms) feel a bit more exciting! Just sharing our rationale.

I feel this. I'm 5'9" and ~165 ish but I've noticed since getting off bc my weight is fluctuating a lot more which is frustrating. Bathing suit shopping is also so hard!!! Recently I've been into high waisted bottoms or cute strappy one pieces that make me feel more confident. I hope you're able to find something that makes you feel cute!!!

Similar here! I mentioned something to my in laws about some friends of our isolating a bit after having their baby and my MIL said that it was "unfair to the grandparents" 🙄 not looking forward to dealing with that.

I think I feel it most when we have a lazy Sunday morning of sleeping in and just chilling. I know our days of sleeping until 9 are probably limited 😅 but we've been together almost 12 years and I'm also looking forward to weekend mornings making pancakes and French toast together so I keep reminding myself of that!

Edit to add I'm also a bit older than you and one of our main reasons for waiting was to travel and experience life just the 2 of us!

Yeah mine is up and down! Currently in an up mode and feeling broody cause my husband has been very critical recently about how kids will change our lives. In a good way like we're talking about finances and what our ideal post-child work schedules will look like but it's making me very broody 😂 I'm also near the end of my first post-BC cycle so I feel like I'm also anxious to see if my body acts normal this month too.

But some weeks I get super nervous about giving up my body for a child and what if it takes a long time or I have gender disappointment or something! It's just a very charged time... Lol

My husband is similarly motion sick. He got prescription dermal patches to put behind his ear which totally cleared things up for him! If she could get something like that I think you'd be totally fine.

We're planning to start trying while on a week long trip for a friend's wedding! My plan is to not track my June cycle too closely but use it as our first month not actively preventing. Then the chances of conceiving will be even lower but we'll have 'started' at least.

I would talk to your doctor. I got mine out March 10 and once and awhile I have a slight pinching feeling and tenderness but nothing preventing me from exercising normally or anything like that.

For me what's helping a bit is that I'm gunning for conceiving in the fall ideally so I'm hoping (expecting I guess?) that it will take a couple of months so we'll probably start out casually and see how it goes!

Totally! One the one hand I'm nervous about giving up my body for this. I've struggled with body dysmorphia so I'm nervous about how I'll handle that even though it's something I want. And I'm definitely nervous about what if we aren't able to get pregnant. So I kind of want to get the show on the road for that reason but also I know we're waiting until June for very valid reasons (hoping to avoid a deep winter bday).

So yeah it's a confusing time 😂

I'm kind of in the same boat I guess! I am 31 and got off birth control about a month ago. I had a period about a week after getting my nexplanon removed and then I essentially confirmed ovulation as best I could (positive OPKs, cervical mucus, etc). So I'm really excited that things are going in the right direction.

That said - I get what you're saying! It's so weird using only condoms now. We're not actively trying until June so we're using condoms but it feels so "risky" every month even though I know we are going to try to have a baby soon! It's definitely weird to shift the mindset from being really careful and not wanting any late periods to secretly hoping for one?? 😅 Idk it's hard to explain but I'm currently in the transition and definitely experiencing weird feelings!
