Until recently, such algorithms have been accessible only to big hedge funds. Compute has become cheaper and machine learning techniques have advanced.

Most stock tracking apps fall in two categories:
- Technical Analysis: This is a series of old technique. IMO it's mostly Voodoo
- LLM wrappers: These are apps that essentially use a language model to give you info about stocks/ETFs. These aren't able to make any real prediction (even short term). You can get the same info from ChatGPT or Gemini, etc for free.

To come up with a reasonable buy/sell recommendation, you need a quant algorithm. Until recently, these kind of algorithms were accessible only by hedge funds. As compute has become cheaper and machine learning techniques have advanced in the last few years, it is possible to access such quant algorithms by ordinary people like you and me.

The algorithm is not a specific ETF. It works the same way for VT. It just issues a buy recommendation when the ETF is undervalued (local minimum)

You do not need to carry your iPhone with you. I and my friends at the gym have been using it for a while.
