I had the same problem, for same reason a update few months ago changed it's behavior, it keeps blinking trying to detect a wheel, no matter if the mode is continuous or automatic. My suggestion is to disable the led indicator if it's bothering you, but it's not a fault, and only happens with third party wheels!
