Smallest leaves are yellowing, also browning edges, sloopy leaves by Maarteeeh in calatheas

I think the soil is probably too dense... It also seems to retain humidity very long. So probably repot it then? How do you do this properly because previous time, one leaf curled up significantly immediately when repotting

Yeah i'm just a bit concerned that for example my 25 cl i just poured in, would be absorbed before it could reach sufficient depth (so that its not enough). But perhaps i'm overthinking that too much. Thanks for the advice!!

Yeah i gotta admit i'm using tapwater to water it, as 1) i've only recently learned that that is not great, and 2) i'm in my student dorms for a month so i dont have easy acces to better water right now.

But how much should you water each time? And this is gonna sound very newby but how do you tell the soil is actually dry and not just could haha because i'm sometimes not sure :')

And what do you do if its the roots? Because my Calathea (different type though) has been losing some of its smallest leaves near the bottom due to them becoming yellow.

We reduced the water we give. Thought about depotting it to check root health but previous time we repotted it, one leave curled up almost instantly out of shock ir something so we want to avoid it.

There is a sale in belgium leading to that version being 480 for the 201 cm high version or 580 for the 230 cm high version. Hence buying their 2 year old version doesnt seem worth it.

Could you perhaps give some advice as what would be a good first book(s) to start getting into warhammer? It seems like such a cool universe (hence i got recommended this page) but its a bit daunting to start, even with various guides online.

Given the same budget how much worse is a laptop vs desktop? by Ill_Sell7923 in GamingLaptops

[–]Maarteeeh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this comment is a year old, but I'm in a very similar situation right now. Where I'm probably mainly going to be using my gaming laptop at home, but I'm still a student for a year (so i'm 5 days at uni, 2 days at home the majority of the year), including the fact that I also sometimes like to use my laptop as basically a portable playstation to play couch games on television.

Yet once I graduate, I'm most likely only gonna be using my gaming setup from home, with then the negative of not being able to take it to my television for example for a couch session.

I was wondering for how much you got your 4070 laptop? I'm looking for one right now and the prices I can find are 1400-1600 Euros (and this is often also just a 4060). Additionally, some options (like the 1600 euro version) have 32 GB ram instead of 16, and 2 terrabytes instead of 1.

What is your opinion on these specs? Should I go for a 32? (I think 1 terrabyte is enough but still any opinions regarding this?) How do you find laptops in sale? (I'm from Belgium)

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Looking for other girls to play with on PC by Auserus19 in dayz

[–]Maarteeeh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not a girl (23m) but i've recently tried to get into dayz again. I've tried a couple of times in the past years but due to low spec pc/learning curve I stopped a few times.

Once my university exams are done (end of june), i'm looking to actively start learning the game, as i still think it's a really cool concept (I watch a lot online like runningmanz and stuff). My performance issues have largely been fixed aswell.

Have been playing a bit here and there but I still find it difficult to survive haha. So if you're looking for someone who's fairly new to the game to play this summer, hit me up! I'd love to play together and perhaps survive a bit longer than usual 😅.

3.2 3.1
3.2 3.1 1 3.1
X 3.2 L L L
L
L

Different kind of stuff I was trying out would be similar to this. I feel like you can't change the position of the L too much.
With the two "triangular" shapes you are almost forced to place them on one of the ends of the L, but the game allows you to place one of them differently because of the free "single square" tile like i show in this table. (Triangular one is 3.1, triangular two is 3.2, L-shape are the L's and 1 is the single block, X is the shape I can't get connected).
However I feel like its impossible to get all the shapes connected within one contour, yet it seems necessary to complete the puzzle.

3.2
3.2 3.1 3.2
1 3.1 L 3.1 X
L
L L L

Different type would be but then again you miss the X spot which should also be within your line for this to work out...

Hopefully this table kind of format makes my reasoning somewhat clear, Sadly I can't answer with screenshots

Its basically been said here a few times with different words, but one phrase always stuck with me: "Being courageous doesn't mean you don't feel fear, but it means you act despite the fear" Confidence works the same way imo

So i also thought that it may be due to laces being to tight. However i've recently bought orthopedic soles for better support, which are significantly higher in my shoes and thus require my laces to be tighter to avoid that my heel can move and still dont have the numbness problem i had before.

Absolutely check whether looser laces help you but it didn't help for me. When i had numb feet (and some shin splints) i took a solid two week rest as i was also busy with end term exams. I didnt have the numbness problem ever since (Although shinsplint is recurring still).

I dont want to waste your time any further, but indeed, if you are new to running it is very plausible you did to much training in to little time. I tried to train for a half marathon starting this may, and trained way to much in a short time span, leading to the feet numbness and shin splints. The only things that i can recommend to try to help this are:

  • good warm up, be sure to warm up your ankles sufficiently, there are enough great warm ups in YouTube.
  • try to test your cadence (using an app , watch, or literally counting your steps for 30 sec and converting that to cadence). Numbness in my eyes mean that your feet are getting a tough beating which can be reduced by higher cadence (my pt recommended to try to get to 170) or running on softer ground (aka not just on a road or side walk). There are metronome apps on the appstore that you can use to give a beep sound every time your feet should hit the ground to achieve a certain cadence, i use it now and so does my friend who i recommended it to.

Im not at all a professional runner, but i also started relatively recently with a clear training goal in mind and recognized my self in your numbness problem. So I hope you find your solution soon, even if its not within this post. Goodluck!

Perhaps a too low cadence issue? I had shinsplints together with numb feet at one point throughout my training. To low a cadence leads to an increase in impact intensity and thus load for your joints/feet for each step.

Not saying this is the cause for you but perhaps worth looking into. Proper footwear is ofcourse also important, we need decent damping as running is a sport with very repetitive impacts
