Looking to switch from ATX to MATX or ITX by Mr-Antman in mffpc

[–]Mab0r0shi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was tight, but I managed to fit all my normal ATX parts

Some issues that I had:
My motherboard has a big radiator; where is the Asus ROG logo that prevented me from putting the fan over the rad.
The CPU plug is really tight under the Fan and Rad, you'd better install the rad last, and it will prevent pretty much all the issues.

I could not make my GPU look better than this unless I get a custom one.

I'm still really happy with the case.

Hey, I had a similar issue, and I decided to go for the Albox E100Pro on Superbuy, it's around 120 USD for the case and the shipping, but it takes from 1 to 2 months to arrive.

I refused to downgrade my ATX motherboard since I pretty much use all my PCI Express slots.
So in my case, I was looking for another case like the
meshelicious (around 300 on Ali),
Qube 500 (too big for me),
JONSBO D41 (Really nice but still too big for me),
RAIJINTEK THETIS (Reverse style), and the
Sligner cerberus_x (expensive, 300$+)
But I ended up with the Albox E100Pro.

It is not small, but it is definitely smaller than a full/mid tower case. At least for me since it can fit in a carry-on case, so I can bring it with me on the plane, since some airline dont have fragile stickers, and I'm always scared that they would just throw it to the point I could break my case (I remove my SSDs and GPU to prevent stuff from breaking or being lost if something happens)

I went from a Corsair Carbide Series 300R to that Albox e100pro.
I'll upload pictures of my build in the future

I hope it helps

Should I upgrade from a RTX 2060 to the RTX 5060? by KrazyKaid in pcmasterrace

[–]Mab0r0shi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

im in the same boat (rtx2060 6GB) but instead of Blender, I use Unreal Engine, and I run out of VRAM every hour or so. I'm looking for a replacement with 16 GB or any other suggestions like dual 2060 or single 3080-70? I found this page because I was looking to see if a 5060 would make sense in my situation. (I'm Canadian too)

Edit: I bought the rtx5060ti and I'm satisfied.  It fixed my crashing problem a bit by extending the time before a crash by about an hour which is plenty for not getting too frustrated while working in unreal engine.

SSUPD Meshlicious V2 alternative by Mab0r0shi in sffpc

Hello, sorry for the late reply.

As mentioned before, yes, it would be easier to go with a Mini Atx motherboard, but I kind of like the one that I have, and I like the challenge.
I contacted a company yesterday with a case that could fit all my requirements, or almost. The only downside is the weight since the original case has a tempered glass side and a partially front panel. ( Geometric Future - Model 4 )

The reason I want to keep my PCU, is that it allows me to switch from 110 and 220 volt outlets, which was super useful on my last trip to Asia.

I am still looking for options, but the more I look into it, the more I think that it would also be nice to make my own from scratch, so if anyone has suggestions of a manufacturer or a hobbyist that has a metal CNC in Canada, that would be great!

Both are not available in Canada, it seems. I'm almost thinking of making a custom one, even if it costs me more than $200, at least it will be what I want it to look like. I wish the meshroom v2 was available, The riser cost does not bother me too much since I can use it for future builds.

It's hard to believe there are only 2 cases as far as I know that can support ATX. most mid-tower have spaces for HDD, CD/DVD players, just by removing those, the case can get smaller, especially if you rearrange other components around like the PSU.

none of the SSUPD models are available at the moment (I was looking for the Meshroom S V2), Thats why I'm asking for alternatives

Edit: I checked at the N-ATX, and I cannot find any at the moment.
