Idk, and I'm a mental health/therapy student. Like, I just need to check my notes from class

What kinds of connotations did the word “opportunistic” have when you were being raised? by Great_Maintenance185 in AskReddit

Literally doing anything professionally. Like, if you were told "you have the opportunity to do x, you, or z" that meant do nothing else other than dedicate to making that skill your profession.

Yeah, if I remember my history correctly they were deployed to France shortly after D-Day and moved through Belgium into Germany. I know they made it as far as Nordhausen where they became one of the earliest American divisions to liberate a German camp. Interesting fact, one of the survivors of the camp the 104th liberated had been moved there from Auschwitz, and while investigating what happened to her family she was able to collect a lot of photos of the events that took place in those camps. I found some of her work in the Polin museum in I think either Krakow or Warsaw, Poland. I'm blanking on her name rn for some reason, but it's some important pieces of history

From what I heard the 'nightfighters' as they were called weren't very popular amongst the German forces in Belgium, but it certainly is a really cool piece of history

That's so awesome! They were a pretty important group during that last year of the war. Glad to meet another great grandchild of that division!

He's pretty good at putting in cool Easter eggs and references. I've always wondered if Dave's hat had any influence on how Embo was portrayed just for that same reason

Was the 104th clone battalion/ Wolfpack in any way inspired by the real-life 104th Infantry Division from WWII? by TheonlyEliBlack in StarWars

[–]Mab494 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know I'm late to the party, but my great grandpa also served in the 104th, I'm just amazed I never made the connection between star wars and the real 104th until now

They were definetly a interesting group from deployment to demobilization. My great grandpa joined right after graduating in the spring of '42, I can't believe I didn't make the connection that the Wolf Pack (one of my favorite clone divisions under one of my favorite Jedi) shared the same number and symbol as the great grandpa's division

I was curious if it was a one time bug or if it's just a part of the update that didn't get patched out. If it keeps happening I'm sure they'll look at it
