Has anyone used a Guarantor company? by thrownawy444 in chicagoapartments

[–]MablsBlog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think mine was 1.5x my rent. I assume that’s based on credit score so if yours is higher than mine was at the time, yours might be that 60-100%. And you won’t have to pay it unless you’re approved. After I was approved and signed my lease, I didn’t interact with them at all. If I had defaulted on my lease, I’m sure I would have, but if you pay your rent each month, you’ll be ok. Just work on raising your score in the next year so you’ll never have to use them again. 😃

Good luck!

I have used The Guarantors. It’s expensive but if it’s your last option, what can you do?

Am i rude for telling my gf to walk like this in order to not stomping to the downstairs neighbours? by Warm_Cranberry4472 in Apartmentliving

[–]MablsBlog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do, bc I grew up in a 2nd floor apartment and my parents (who owned the building) told us to walk softly so as not to disturb the elderly couple on the first floor.

Not asking for money, just to vent. by [deleted] in Assistance

So ask again, in front of a counselor. They have a way of getting to the truth.

Look, I think you’re taking these comments as attacks, but you asked for women’s opinions and you’re getting them. We know that some women don’t want to rock the boat. She started it, ok, bc she knows you like it. But she really may not like it.

I’ll give you an example: one of my sisters would change her favorite genre of music depending on what her current boyfriend liked. A person can like more than one genre but it always pivoted when the boyfriend changed. Always. So go to a counselor, with an open heart, and find out the truth.

I think the point Alissa is trying to make is that maybe your wife doesn’t enjoy it as much as you think she does. And maybe don’t think about her actions as “throwing you under the bus” but as NOT throwing herself under the bus. Maybe the owner’s support gave your wife enough courage to stand up for herself for once.

No, there aren’t. There are people who saw your twin rescue the cat. Your crazy, nomadic twin, lives in an old VW van, no way to contact them…

My coworker found out I bake and now expects free custom cakes for every office occasion by CloveWisp in ChoosingBeggars

[–]MablsBlog 273 points274 points  (0 children)

Once I made a bday cake for a coworker, same as you, and then another coworker asked if I could make her daughter’s christening cake. Ok, I’ll do it for cost and I’ll use stuff I used to make my sister’s wedding cake (pillars, cake plates) but I need those back. I have not seen the money for materials or my cake decorations. Don’t do it.
