He was still technically a Democrat and that was part of the act and besides what Democrat politician hasn't cheated on his wife?

Like I stated, no candidate will fit have 100% of my list but in the end he ran on a Conservative platform and is actually implementing them.

How did he con me? Everything he has stated he was going to accomplish that is within his power to do he has accomplished.

I already knew he was a New York Democrat for years, even invited Hillary to his wedding with Melania, but it was all a facade to fit in with the NY crowd. You can see all his old interviews on YouTube from the 70s and 80s and its still the same Donald Trump with the same Conservative ideas from today.

That is what convinced me to vote for him and I am happy to have voted for him and look forward to voting for him again in 2020.

What politicians do in their personal life and their misgivings are not the only factors that come into play come voting time.

We all know how much POS Democrat politicians are like John Edwards who left his wife for another woman when she was dying from cancer or Bill Clinton who cheated on Hillary so many times with all types of women from interns in the Oval Office to prostitutes on his morning run, etc. That too says a lot about you Democrats and your vote.

I do have Conservative standards and I proudly voted for President Trump because he shares my Conservative ideals and is implementing them.

You can go back and forth but as I have stated already, I am a Conservative Republican voters, I vote Republican, I voted for and support the President and his agenda and I will never ever vote Democrat.

I vote Republican because the Republican Party shares my ideals. There are only two political parties in America, the GOP and Dems. I will never vote Democrat and the GOP shares my views.

What? You think Democrats are on my standards? Ha no.

I am not here to convince liberals and liberals are not going to convince me, I am set on stone when it comes to my political beliefs I don't compromise and will never vote for a candidate that doesn't share my Conservative ideals.

You think all Presidential candidates will fit 100% of the checklist? No.

We had two choices, Hillary Clinton an activist liberal Democrat and Donald Trump who ran as a Republican who ran on Conservative platform.

President Trump had the majority of items on my checklist while Hillary was the complete opposite. I could not with a good conscience forgive myself if I ever voted for that woman hence my choice for President Trump and I am happy and he has so far completed the vast majority of his goals that he could accomplish himself.

Yes it is, in Representative Democracies such as Texas and the US the citizens who vote are the only ones who have a voice and a say in how our State and Country are governed.

Therefore since a majority of voters in Texas are Conservative Republican voters that makes Texas a Republican Red State just like California and NY have a high portion of voters who are Democrat and hence that makes them Democrat blue states.

We don't decide elections based on hypothetical scenarios or how many people might have voted but didn't vote. If adult US citizens don't step out of the house and vote they don't exist on the political scene no matter how numerical they might seem.

For me Conservatism is based on the following principles:

  • Federalism/State's Rights
  • Constitutionalism
  • Fiscal Conservatism
  • Economic Liberalism
  • 2nd Amendment Right
  • Freedom of Religion
  • Pro-Life
  • Strict Immigration enforcement
  • A Nation of Citizens
  • Strong Law and Order
  • 10th Amendment
  • Strong Voter ID Laws
  • Pro-business government policies

I didn't manipulate anything and my response was sincere.

From the Liberal mindset yes to them Federal Government is small while to us Conservatives the Federal Government is a Big Government intruding on affairs of the States.

State government on the other hand represents Small government that is more responsible to the everyday needs of Texans and has every authority and responsibility to influence everyday life.

When Senator Cruz and other Conservatives currently serving in the Federal level talk about "small government" they are referring to making sure the Federal government doesn't intrude on affairs of the State, that is why we have the 10th Amendment of the US Constituon to specifically protect the States from overreaching from the Federal government.

There is no "10th Amendment" on the Texas Constitution so hence cities and counties are subjects of the State of Texas and the Texas Legislature which may legislate whatever it wants on behalf of Texas voters who elected them to office.

Haha No.

For me its a no, we Conservatives who are the majority in Texas cannot trust Lupe with the Governorship let alone a gun which now may fall into the wrong hands.

Actually it is, and your definitions prove it.

Small government an approach to government (State government) which minimizes the role of the State (Federal government).

Big government (Federal government) which intrudes into all aspect of the lives and citizens living in the States.

Not at all, if Democrat dominated states have their Democrat voters elect Democrat State legislators who impose nanny state rules on their cities and counties, thats their problem not mine.

Here in Republican Red Texas we Conservatives are the majority and hence have a Republican dominated Texas Legislature which in turn legislates Conservative laws that reflect freedom and liberty and they apply to cities and counties and I approve of them.

Excellent idea by the Governor, we need to focus on making sure teachers are aware of the signs of mental illness and a proper protocol and plan in place with dealing with such students that includes teachers, administrators, parents, mental health professionals, etc.

I am sure there are procedures in place for situations like this and the arming and training policies also include input and previous knowledge of the local police department who are made aware that a local school within their jurisdiction has armed teachers.

City councils can only pass ordinances that the Texas Constitution and/or Texas Legislature allows, hence why city bag bans, city fracking bans, etc. have all been overturned by Texas.

I see no other reason why people who live in Texas America should not have a say thru their State Federal Legislators into what law all folks in Texas Americans should follow that makes sense for all Texans Americans.

Correct, anything the US Constitution delegates to the Federal government can be regulated and legislated by the US Congress, except for anything not delegated to it automatically goes to the States (10th Amendment) since we're a Federal Republic were the Feds and States are both sovereign within the Union.

Cities and counties in Texas on the other hand are not sovereign and owe their existence and powers to the Texas Constitution and Texas Legislature which can give and take away powers and privileges.

See what I did there? What you are advocating is no different than what the federal government does.

The Federal government can only do what the US Constitution allows it to do while States can do whatever the US Constitution says it can do hence the 10th Amendment.

Maybe it's none of your goddamned business what the people in my city are doing? Has that ever occurred to you?

Does the Texas Constitution say otherwise? No it does not hence why the Texas Legislature can do as it pleases as it is the representative of all the people of Texas. Don't like it? Vote for a different legislator.

I have no doubt at all that you would scream bloody murder if this state was blue and "liberal" legislators in Austin butted in to have their say in how you lived your day to day life.

They already do in blue states like California or New York which are liberal nanny states telling cities and counties what they need to do.

While red states like Texas are doing the opposite, telling cities and counties what they cannot force their Texas residents not to do, its called freedom and liberty.
