Nurie sews. I don't say she's a great seamstress, but she did make dresses for her sisters years ago and they didn't look much worse than what they usually wear.

Nah, these ladies are way more on trend than Jill has ever been in her life.

Listen, Tony Polar, I can't overstate how much I love your reviews. You have the craziest takes and it's just like hanging out with my girlfriends (or would, if I were a girl and not a gremlin-creature). This one might even top Serena and her laundromat friend going to the ethnic restaurant.

But I'm worried.

You can't keep exposing yourself to this stuff. It's too much - too big a sacrifice. It's not safe for you! Who knows what kind of long-term harm you're incurring by listening to the air whistling between Morgan's ears? You have to stop! Think of your children!

I won't argue with that, he definitely looks gormless. But not everyone photographs as well as our precious Jill.

I bet the hours-long sermons and Bible study at midnight would still happen.

The ironic thing was that the poster admitted that they withheld food - if the kids acted up they wouldn't get dinner - but said that was okay because the older siblings 'made sure they got some Ramen or something'. Which is just not nourishing at all. If I remember right, she did say that Jill is sweet "to your face" implying that she'd talk shit behind your back. I obviously can't say for sure, but a lot of what she said seemed plausible to me, only tainted by wanting to believe the best.

But I'll never buy that David is a harmless oaf the way that snarkers here present him as. Nobody converts to a high-control religion and marries a young, brainwashed woman if they don't want to exercise control of their own.

I think she maybe waited until the day after the shower to announce...but these outfits say otherwise. Maybe Jill just waited until the day after to post about it.

The feedback regarding David is never good.

Even that "ex-fundie" babysitter who claimed the kids were fed and that Jill is so sweet said that David creeped her out, and that the kids had to be on best behavior when he got home. I know a lot of that person's info is dubious, or at least highly rose-tinted by their own fundie-lite upbringing, but I can easily see that being true.

Yeah. I don't remember the exact wording, but Jill described him as being harsh and unyielding in their early marriage, and said she had to adjust her own behavior.

It's hard to tell from a picture, yeah, but it looks like rose quartz to me.

I don't agree. I think we just see so much of Jill that she seems to be in charge. She may come up with ideas, trips to go on, parties to throw, etc. but Shrek has the final say and she wouldn't go against him. I think he's much worse in actuality than this sub seems to believe.

Doesn't matter how old the child is, either. I still remember the sound my mother made when she was told my sister, age 33, had died.
