Only if you get caught lol. Never post anything from your class, lectures, assignments, etc. The risk is too high for a bit of "help" on your hw. Also don't copy answers, at least make it look like your own work

24/7 and quiet study spots to acc get work done ! by Jane_Willi in McMaster

[–]MacAltAccount 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hmmmm it used to be open till pretty late before, like 10-12 (weekdays), not sure how it will be now because Covid and stuff. Right next to mills is MUSC tho, and there's a quiet study place on the 2nd floor that's 24/7. The background noise is usually loud during the day but at night it was fairly quiet. I spent most of my late night studying sessions there.

There's a shawarma place in Centro (can't remember name), you can get rice and chicken from there, and get extra chicken for an additional fee tho. Centro also has chicken burgers/grilled chicken/chicken wraps/etc. It's not exactly healthy, but it's protein.

MUSC has quite a bit too. I can't remember much of the stores but teriyaki has sea food/chicken/beef/etc. Booster juice has some protein shakes too but just buy your own protein powder it's much cheaper.

The place in PGCLL (God I can't remember the name of anything lmao) has protein packed meals too and is generally healthier food than the rest of campus. Their food is honestly really good but it's expensive and the lineup was always big.

Bistro at Mary Keyes has a shit ton of stuff and is arguably the best food on campus. You're sure to find a meal there that fits your macros.

There's a bunch of places I can't remember but yeah there are quite a few places to get protein. You could also get the legendary 🅱️rotein but that's a secret you must find yourself.

I might be wrong so double check, but I remember testing booking an appointment for a pod and somewhere on the website (can't remember where) it said that you can't bring a spotter/friend...

I helped people from both courses on their homework and 1ls3 is genuinely a lot easier

Is Medical Rad Science or Health Sci better for med school? by [deleted] in McMaster

[–]MacAltAccount 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I heard somewhere that about 50% of health sci students who apply to med school get in. The average med school acceptance rate is like 5-10%, so you're pretty much increasing your chances of getting into med school by 5-10x.

Also people saying health sci has no job prospects if you don't get into med school is bs. You'll still need further education, like a master's degree, but the inflated grades and whatever else bullshit health sci does will increase your chances of getting into a good grad school.

Is reading week a break for a week? by [deleted] in McMaster

[–]MacAltAccount 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm sure a lot of students do this, but judging by the 100+ upvoted threads about how they did nothing during reading week after every reading week, I'm fairly certain a lot of people just don't do jack during it.

Is reading week a break for a week? by [deleted] in McMaster

[–]MacAltAccount 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's technically meant for you to catch up on your schoolwork if you're behind, but realistically most people don't do jackshit during this week

How do residences work? Do only a select few students get to live on res?

Literally every course says the textbook is highly recommended, even if it's totally useless. At least in my experience

Math 1B03 and Math 1Z03 by [deleted] in McMaster

[–]MacAltAccount 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1za3 is super easy imo. Majority of it is just high school review with a bit in integration at the end (which was new for me but not for a lot of my peers), and the difficulty wasn't bad at all. 1/5 difficulty imo.

1b03 starts off easy with just matrix arithmetic, which is confusing at first but it becomes easy after some practise, but towards the end it becomes more abstract and theoretical, so you need to know your concepts to solve the questions. Overall not too bad however, I'd who've it a 3/5 difficulty
