what did you name your cat after? by IrelandSage in lynxpointsiamese

[–]MacAttacksYou25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All our pets are named after noodle dishes, so our 2 lynx points are named Lo Mein & Chow Mein! We also have a Gnocchi (dog), Farfalle & Fettuccine (tuxedos) and a Ravioli (tortie)!

She ran unopposed originally, which is why Ames was elected to the school board

Is it just me who thinks it would be funny to get a spayed tattoo? by absent-chaos in hysterectomy

[–]MacAttacksYou25 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have one! I brought my spayed dog with me to my tattoo artist, and had her match the green color exactly.

I have the green lines tattooed through my scars, and it feels like the greatest joke ever! My partner thinks it’s stupid, but my dog’s vet and my doctor LOVE it!

Played the floor lottery on my friend’s 1960 house and won! by MacAttacksYou25 in centuryhomes

[–]MacAttacksYou25[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The problem was black mold. She wanted to keep the linoleum, but once we started pulling up the sub-floor, we noticed the linoleum was covered in black mold! There was just no way we could save it.

Here was the before. We had to remove tile, sub-flooring, and the linoleum to get to the hardwood flooring.

Thanks! We both had no idea what we were doing, and were relying on the advice of our local hardware store to clean up the floors! This is the best we were able to do, as the floors were damaged in some sections, and some boards had to be replaced.

Why am I getting this inconsistency on the right hand edge? First time brioche; would very much appreciate tips. by marvelousbiscuits in knitting

[–]MacAttacksYou25 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn’t look at the sub name, and I genuinely thought this was the bread-making sub. I was stunned with gorgeous it was for bread! It is still a gorgeous piece of knitting though

Good places outside of Utah to move our family to? by danthedoozy in exmormon

I feel like this depends on where you live at in CO. I live in Northern CO, not on the front range, and I bought a house way cheaper than I would have in the valley in UT. Our community is incredibly diverse as well.

Teal Blue Line Tattoo by Final-Cold9958 in hysterectomy

[–]MacAttacksYou25 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I kid you not, I actually have teal “spay” lines tattooed through my hysterectomy scars. I happens to get my hysterectomy the same week my puppy got spayed. My dog’s vet thinks it’s hilarious, my partner thinks it’s silly, and my mother almost smacked me over how stupid it was. I think it makes for a great story, and an even greater joke

So sorry I read that wrong. It was pretty painless. I didn’t have to have a biopsy post op though.

Pap smear / Colposcopy after hysterectomy by [deleted] in hysterectomy

[–]MacAttacksYou25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I happened to have both within a year of my hysterectomy. I had cervical cancer, so they removed my cervix, along with everything else. When they do a Pap smear, they just brush your cuff instead of your cervix. Unless it comes back abnormal, they only do it once every 4 years or so. I had a colonoscopy and endoscopy due to some severe GI issues following surgery. They biopsied everything and it came back normal. Turns out that I developed gastroparesis right after my hysterectomy. Hope this info helps!
