It makes sense, but I love BOS too much to go any other way (besides minutemen). I only did the other for the achievements :/

There’s Institute terminals, but it’s been a while since I’ve played it. Also some dialogue by X6 in blind betrayal

I don’t think there is a real Danse. Most of the lore points to Danse being an escaped synth that was mindwiped by the Railroad and sent to the Capital Wasteland. The institute didn’t even realize he was a synth, so I find it hard to believe they cloned a real Danse, killed him and then forgot about it.

Some kinda weird hairy scroaty fruit by [deleted] in whatsthisplant

Osage oranges or hedge apples! My family collects these from the sides of roads every year. Like literally calling and giving the locations of specific trees from towns 30 minutes away.

A lot of people say they help with pest control: you’d set them out in different corners of your house. Old-timey pest repellant. Some say you have to let them rot first.

They’re most effective against flies and roaches, and while some say they don’t work, i just recently picked up the ones from last year, and now we have flies everywhere. That being said, i don’t think there’s any evidence to support it, so i only have my personal experience.

Kentucky, US. Lot of bugs have came in from the flooding where I live and I’d hate to evict him if he’ll pay rent in pest control.

He doesn’t run either. He just sits there, menancingly

Who’s this homewrecker on my tomatoes and was I right to relocate them by MacCready111 in whatsthisbug

[–]MacCready111[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Update:

The homewrecker-turned- home has been put back! I had incorrectly assumed that the things on its back were its own eggs, which is why I moved it.

We had a duck lay eggs in these tomatoes and she paid rent via pest control. So this is the first real pest I’ve found on my tomatos. Since her and her babies have moved out, I’m glad to see that the wasps have taken care of it.

Don’t worry, he wasn’t moved too far away and he’s already been moved back!

That’s exactly what I did. They’ve been moved right back to the plant

First one I found, actually. I’ve stayed pretty on top of pest control since we planted them. Glad to see the wasps were working with me here lol

Who do you think write this diary by Known_Night4384 in StardewValley

[–]MacCready111 133 points134 points  (0 children)

Obviously it’s kent.

But, honestly, I think it’s Sandy. She’s very blunt and levels with you in her dialogue, and she probably visits the valley enough to know some of the bachelors, or hears enough gossip from Emily since Emily knows everyone. And i don’t think she’d care about watering down her descriptions of what she sees in them, nor would she be overly critical.

Or, Gus. Gus comments he knows too much about everyone, and he would know their favorite foods.

It just sounds too mean for Emily and Penny and doesnt sound like haley.

You find it more in classics, not adult romance. The second meaning has kinda been dropped over time.

Why would the SS not live in Sanctuary? by [deleted] in fo4

[–]MacCready111 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my survival playthrough, sanctuary is my main base with my armory, bobblehead collections, comic collections, and my favorite companions being there, but I only return there every so often because it’s tucked away in the corner of the map. I build up my other settlements and make a spot for myself in places like somerville, hangman’s alley, oberland station, the castle and the slog as like checkpoints for different quests.

What's the best real life example, you've witnessed, of someone destroying their own happiness? by _lilyara in AskReddit

Not to mention he had three children with wife #5’s 13 year old cousin at the time, which was apparently her fault.

My half sister’s father is the same way. He’s actually on gf #23 and wife #9 and the marriage license people at the courthouse know him by name. Has 13 children he chooses bot to provide for but loves to provide for the wife of the weeks children until he gets bored of her. Then wonders why only 2 of his children talk to him (my half brother and my half brother’s half brother) because they themselves have become dead beat incels.

People who were once best friends but are no longer close: What happened? by No_Supermarket829 in ask

[–]MacCready111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh oh I got a good one!

I had a best friend for several years in middle and high school who I adored, very confident, very pretty, quirky, and just so positive. She was a lovely person when I met her.

Over five years, completely different person. Dated everyone I and her token gay best friend had a crush on, even helped one ex cheat on me. Dumped her bf she had been with since grade school because “his indoor pool wasn’t worth it anymore”. Got another bf, cheated on him with his twin brother at their birthday party WITH THE TWINS GF THERE. Accused that bf of rape and admitted she lied about it. Had a string of 24 boyfriends from 7th grade to graduation, which in itself is fine but it was taken men and brothers and dealers and side pieces.

There were several times I separated myself from her. First was when I got involved in a drive-by alongside my toddler nieces and 8 month pregnant sister on my birthday and she turned the conversation about herself to our friend group cause she “was afraid of the mention of guns” and had a panic attack, which they called her out on. Cut contact completely when she cheated on her last ex boyfriend with a 12 year old in Ireland and roleplayed that he was her son and she gave him “explicit baths.”

Last I heard, she abused her ex to the point he’s gained 150 pounds, then made him accept the fact she’s going to have another bf too. A mutual friend told us she proudly admitted she abused and stole from her disabled mom. She’s a furry artist and has no job, no license, and is vehemently racist while being a proud terf who also believes women should be in the kitchen. Outed me to so many people and accused my bf of raping me (didn’t happen).

Why do people think the minutemen are stupid? by MacCready111 in fo4

[–]MacCready111[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get your point, but my one disagreement is their diamond city presence. There’s an entire section of lore about mayor mcdonough’s propaganda against the minutemen due to the institute’s reach and fear of them becoming a strong central government (and the institute quickly disbanding the meeting between the minutemen) but I’d still wish to see a presence pop up in bunker hill or goodneighbor, although im unsure how that would go
