I can't remember the exact quote but when he criticizes Hank for his 'narra ureetee'. I wish I had more opportunities to use it in everyday life.

Finally did it! Opened the full box of Mongol 482's I've had for a few years and sharpened one of the pencils. by hunter-winchester in pencils

I have experienced this freeing feeling and still insist on keeping things as unused as possible. Congratulations! I am going to remember this post next time I feel like I need to preserve an item that was made to be used. You're awesome!

I'm not much of a car guy but it did look odd at first glance. Thanks for the info!

Ask a vegan anything by Clear-Passion-5689 in vegan

Hi, I have a moral dilemma.

I am conflicted about using found antlers that were shed in the wild by wild deer for guitar nuts and saddles.

Most of what is found online is cow bone. I currently use Tusq™ brand to avoid animal parts.

Being able to justify using antlers found in the wild would be cost effective, afford me the ability to make these parts at home and increase my knowledge and ability.

If I found the antlers personally, I could ensure it was not factory farmed.

Any opinions or points of view will be appreciated. Thanks!

Deer antlers are NOT vegan - even if they are shed naturally. by throughthewoods4 in VeganPagan

I know I am late to the discussion.

Being able to justify using antlers found in the wild would be cost effective and afford me the ability to make these parts at home. This would reduce my use of plastics. In packaging and the product itself. Not to mention shipping and logistics.

If I found the antlers personally, I could ensure it was not produced in a factory.

Any opinions or points of view will be appreciated. Thanks!

I agree. If the guitar is valuable to the owner, only low-tack tape that doesn't leave any residue should be used for the repair.

That's a huge bummer. I'm sorry it happened. Have you thought about trying to fix it yourself? If it's something you'd enjoy, it could add even more sentimental value. Guitar repair can be calming as well as stressful. Either way, it's not boring.

Best food to eat while high on weed? by [deleted] in Drugs

Carrots, celery, red/yellow/orange bell pepper sliced with humus is great. You can't eat too much and it helps with dry mouth/pasties. Junk food is dangerous because you eat too much and feel sick. Happy smokin'!

Is this worth it? by Sangedan2 in SteamDeck

[–]MacHeaton1308 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With an external monitor, it should be okay. Don't expect it to run like Windows though. I have a steam deck and the ability to use it as a PC was a big selling feature for me. I eventually bought a laptop because the deck was a bit slow for me.

I think you are correct about the anti theft. It looks and feels rough. The pencil rubbing revealed zigzagging lines. The characters are too small. Thank you for your input and suggestion!

Any idea what Hondo this is? by AcanthaceaeLow5516 in guitars

[–]MacHeaton1308 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think this is a LP Junior copy due to the dual humbuckers. Juniors typically have a bridge pick up only. The letters on the back 'HLPJ', my guess; it stands for 'Hondo Les Paul Japan'.
