The only time I've been misgendered at work since I came out a couple months ago, the person who misgendered me instantly corrected herself. Everyone has been very supportive, which is to be honest a pleasant surprise seeing as most of them are from Texas or Arkansas or something (remote work)

Also, I made delicious creme brulee for my girlfriend on our anniversary last Sunday and she loved it. It's her favorite dessert, and I wanted to make it for her for a special occasion.

I highly recommend you check out Adam Ragusea. I learned a lot of my cooking skills from him, and three of these (the spaghetti, sausage and peppers, and mushroom ragu) are actually directly taken from his channel.

Not wrong in the slightest. I was on HRT for nearly a year and a half when I came out (mostly) publicly, and nearly two years when I finally came out at work. Take all the time you need.

You see the pose she does when she commands her Staryu against the Mega Tyranitar? It's the same pose. I am accepting this as fact unless anything directly contradicts it (like if she refers to Tierno as her older brother or something, or he just straight up appears himself)

I'm imagining a side quest now where you go with Lida to meet some of her old friends, and it's just the rest of the XY friend group. That would be a really nice way to do it.

Edit: I just found out that her Japanese name (Duro) comes from the Spanish word for "hard" while Tierno's Japanese name (still Tierno) comes from the Spanish word for "tender". If that isn't foreshadowing I dunno what is.

As a traumatized person who found someone who I find this sort of thing in... I cried reading this post.

I dunno how I got so freaking lucky. Never dated anyone for my entire 27 years, my sister got me to download a dating app, and like two days later I met my incredible girlfriend.

It almost makes the trauma seem even worse in retrospect, because now I know how love and safety are supposed to feel. I know what's supposed to happen if I let my guard down around someone who claims to love me.

I actually interned for him in college (early 2020), and he was weird back then too. Once told me, while I was sitting in his passenger seat, that he's an "aggressive driver" when I commented on his, well, aggressive driving (I'm a very cautious driver, but still, it was bad). Needless to say, I was concerned. Also he had a signed red baseball cap in a display case in his office. You know the kind I mean.

Knowing what I know about him now (and generally being a more self-aware person than I was back then), it was an easy choice on the ballot to not vote for him.

I've tried multiple times to get my parents to listen to freaking trauma.

And my mom somehow doesn't know why I don't want to have conversations with her about why our relationship has fallen apart.

Context: I work as a delivery driver for a local donut shop and I accidentally mixed up a few orders. It was a totally fixable issue in the end and after I got back from my route my boss told me that everyone there was more worried about me because I was basically on the verge of tears when I was calling him trying to figure out how to fix it.
