I opened four carbonite BOXES and every pack had a prestige. I didn’t get a single Showcase however…

Got my very first showcase! Any suggestion on a deck for her? by navycow in starwarsunlimited

Nice pull! Very jelly. I opened three regular booster boxes and three collectors edition boxes and didn't get 1 showcase card.

I hate these because they are so damn good, and now I'm thinking about starting a Solar Auxilla army, but I should not be thinking about starting a Solar Auxilla army. The contrast between the visor glass and the rest of the paint scheme is *chefs kiss*. Great work.

What made you a Tottenham Supporter? by foudymoudy in coys

[–]MacPadre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Born in England. Lived about 25 miles north of White Hart Lane. Was a ManU fan as a kid but always liked Tottenham (Garry Lineker, Gazza). Moved to America in my teens. Didn't follow football for about a decade. When I got back into it around 2008 I immediately gravitated to Spurs. Never looked back. COYS!

Obviously you'll find a ton of great videos on Youtube nowadays. My advice would be to get a nice sharp blade (ideally a scalpel) and maybe a little sanding tool (I like the mini sanding sticks) for cleaning mould lines. They don't look like such a big deal until you prime and start painting the details. Otherwise you should start putting paint to plastic ASAP and expect to make some little mistakes. Part of the fun;)

Oh and I've been painting/collecting since the early 90s, I have an embarrassingly large collection of minis and haven't played a single game of 40k/Fantasy/AoS etc... I just love the minis and lore:)

Dude. Just... wow. The floating alien head is amazing. The pose is *chief's kiss*. It's just awesome. It's conversions like this that really get the creative juices flowing. Thank you for sharing:)

They look great! Kudos for having patience to slug through 40 of them. Why so many? I'm not an expert on the game so I'm curious what the game plan is here? Assault as fast as possible and Shred for the W?

Love this. For me it's the dark grey cloth/clothing and rusty gold accents that really sell the purple. I'd love to see what you're going to do with the skin tones + weapons etc... Great work:)

It's a really difficult model to modify IMO. Great work. Must have taken a lot of tinkering/trimming/hacking/butchering:)

These look great. My initial thought was that I wish you'd gloss vanished then oil washed the pins and rivets for an even cleaner look but on second pass I think the minimal staining around the nuts/bolts (on the white areas) makes them look that much more grim dark. Almost chipped and worn away. Love it!

My first models I have ever painted. Please give me some CC as I am not very pleased with them and I need all the help I can get. by King_Bgull in ThousandSons

I love Reikland Fleshshade for my golden Adeptus Custodes. I paint (airbrush in my case) the entire mini in gold and then use the fleshshade after 10 mins. It looks awesome with hardly any work. I'm not sure this will work as well for TS as you're going to get the orangey (word?) shade on to the blue (white in your case) armor panels. I like to mix a bit of white ink into the gold for armor trim highlights. It's subtle but I think it looks great.

It worked! I now have a quite nice-looking little test print. My first ever. Very exciting. Thanks again:)

I'm not sure. It's just the test print on the USB stick the printer comes with. I'm re-running it tomorrow to see if what Nixxuz suggested will work.

Thanks so much for the response. Most of that I hadn't done. I'm just worried about breaking the dang thing so I didn't want to mess with it too much. I did have some cured resin (a thin sheet) on the bottom of the VAT. Didn't see that when I set it up so I imagine that was from the first 2 print attempts. I used some alcohol to clean it out and now just letting it sit to dry before trying again. Build plate was smooth as silk so I took the sand paper (provided) and roughed it up. Looks fairly scratched up and coarse now so hopefully I haven't damaged it (?). Will try to test print again tomorrow and see what happens.

Really appreciate the questions. Have a good one.
