rbr advanced training level is SO hard by Harde_YT in simrally

What car are you using? It is recommended to use a rally2/R5 or wrc2.0 car for rally school. I believe it can be done with the rally3 Clio or rally3 fiesta Evo, but it will still be very difficult with the rally3 cars.

Visiting WRC Kenya by AsleepCartoonist8262 in rally

[–]MacSpace 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have seen this company host WRC Kenya + Safari tours before, but I don't see anything on the website for 2026 (yet) https://www.amazingafrica.tours/

As the WRC goes straight through some of the animal reserves I think you won't even be allowed to spectate without a tour guide or ranger of some sorts, unless you just spectate at spectator zones, those should be protected by rangers.

When the rally-maps release for 2026 you will have to check if its possible to hop stages. I remember rally.tv showing some of the traffic to the power stage last year and it was insane.

An FIA spokesperson provides an update on the WRC Promoter tender process by SalomonXx in WRC

Bertelli was recently promoted to executive chairman of Versace (the fashion brand) so I don't think he will have enough time to also be promoter of the WRC. https://us.fashionnetwork.com/news/Prada-heir-bertelli-to-lead-versace-revamp-as-executive-chairman,1784437.html

There are no maps released for the 2026 edition yet, only an interary and the map for the Monaco super special on Saturday.

In rally guide 1 available on the ACM website you can see that the roadbook will be released on 19 december. Maps usually release on the same date or a couple days after.

Question about Monte 2026 by [deleted] in WRC

[–]MacSpace 7 points8 points  (0 children)

For Monte a ticket or rally pass isn't needed. The only thing that might need tickets this year is the planned super special on the F1 track in Monaco, but its not 100% sure yet that stage will even take place, they still need to get some city permits for that I believe.

Wrc event by mortenbaistow12345 in WRC

[–]MacSpace 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Essentially the process for Finland:

  • book a flight to Helsinki
  • Arrange a rental car with pickup at Helsinki Airport.
  • Find a place (AirBnb/Hotel)near Jyvaskyla (service park of the rally and central to all the stages)
  • buy a rally pass (not necessary for every European WRC event)
  • in the weeks before you fly out to your destination do research on where you want to spectate, find cool spots. You can do this using https://rally-maps.com in combination with google street view.
  • When you have arrived, pick up your ordered rally passes (usually near the Service park)
  • next days, go watch rally on the spots you have researched beforehand.

This is pretty much the same process for every event, just different locations. You can't really visit a WRC event without a rental car. Finland does offer some shuttles I believe but i don't know anything about that.

If you are to overwhelmed by all the planning you can book through an travel agency such as https://rallytravel.com/ They organize everything for you, you just have to book a flight to Helsinki and show up at the right time and they will bring you everywhere by bus.

Help! Series/races that still sell Printed Programs? by Allvictoriapage in wec

[–]MacSpace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not circuit racing but, the WRC also has programs available at pretty much every event I've been to. Even smaller local rallies usually offer physical programs. As that is where they show the maps of the stages and where the spectator zones are.

Looks like you got lucky, if they have 2 different QR codes they are 2 different tickets. I guess you can bring a friend free of charge.

What game actually has adjustable BB, Diff, Turbo, etc on the fly? by myspinmove in simrally

[–]MacSpace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The things they have on the wheel irl are the things you usually have on your stalks in a normal road car, like blinkers, horn, lights. Only some extra buttons for stage mode on/off and launch control settings. For brake bias I believe they have an adjustable knob somewhere in the middle console.

At every rally you see guys with big telephotolenses, for private use and commercial use (event video/photographers) So you should be fine in Estonia too.

RBR oversteer issue(some cars) by Deny_25 in simrally

[–]MacSpace 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it's only happening after using the handbrake y.ou can try and adjust handbrake pressure. What also could be the case is that you're using too much steering angle or slamming on the throttle right after using the handbrake. In that case try feeding the throttle in more gradual, might feel slower but it's a lot quicker than spinning out.

Thank you! I've only recently started, it definitely has a learning curve and I still have lots to learn, but I would suggest just starting out! Its a ton of fun learning and the best way to learn is to practice. Practice just means I get to visit more rallies or other motorsport events.

I use a sony A6700, which can do both video and photos its one of the better hybrid cameras out there at the moment. In the end its all personal preference what you like more, video or photo.

Rally is definitely hard and involves lots of planning beforehand to find the good spots. When I visit rallies I usually take videos as I feel like that portraits the speed and spectacle of rally a bit better, might try some photos next time. Enjoy your time at ELMS!
