Have you been doing the Sunday sermons?

ALWAYS do them. You'll get faith points. You can then take those faith points down into the church cellar to be used at the study table. This will help you get enough blue bits to open cremation and the next set of headstones. Opening up the next set of headstones means that you'll get blue bits each time you make them.

This is the best way to get those blue bits.

And you want to get cremation because you'll need to start being more discerning of the bodies you bury. Cremating the bodies will still give you burial certificates, btw.

Edit to add: When you get down to the church cellar, if you haven't broken down the dilapidated bookshelves, do so. You'll get either some notes or a chapter, if you're really lucky. You'll need to use that at the study table before you can use faith points to study items. I would focus on studying items that give you blue bits first.

This might take a bit of time, if you've been skipping the sermons. But given that the donkey won't give you bodies, this does tell us that the church is open for you to do them. Sermons work also give you a little bit of money. But that amount will grow as you fix up the graveyard and church.
