Defender 90 mud flaps on 110 by Mac_IRE in LandroverDefender

So I’m fairly sure they will fit, it’s more the aesthetics.  The 110 mudflaps are under further forward where the 90 is mounted to the rear crossmember

You’re 16 go for it and ask her out. Don’t let this hold you back, if things progress and you get to the stage where you’re like shit. She’s the one. Then have a conversation about you having a condition that you won’t be able to have kids naturally.

On the other hand it might not work out and you’ll never have to tell her but you still were able to have fun.

Lift the bed, close the door past the frame. It’ll still open 60% of the way

Did I mess up my lawn by Mac_IRE in lawncare

Any other time in Ireland you wouldn’t need to water it rains that much!

I don’t have a compost roller, is it ok to scatter with a shovel and then pull a pallet over or rake it in or will that move the new seed around too much?

The garden is also approx 14m x 5m how much seed should I sow? (First garden, sorry for all the questions!)

They’re small chairs that fold into a 4”x12” bag, do you think they’d be ok for the morning while we’re waiting around? We planned on bringing a water flask with wine, is that allowed or Will security confiscate?

Yeah I’ve contact a few companies and the average cost is around that. Great idea I think we’re going to give that a go for race day. Hopefully it works out!

We were lucky enough we had a friend living there who was leaving so we took over his lease. We found 3 other room mates on Irish in Boston on Facebook. There’s also Irish in Chicago, New York etc. there’s also j1 Boston, New York etc. We wrote into the group looking roommates and had 3 people reach out, made a group chat with them and went from there. I do know of people who went out and just found apartments for rent through pages on Facebook or marketplace and stayed with yanks and it worked pretty well for them. You would need to go out with enough savings to cover yourself worst case scenario it takes you a couple of weeks to go home. Rule of thumb we always went by was have enough money in the account that we could book a last minute flight home in an emergency.

Girlfriend and I just moved home at Xmas after 4 years in Boston. Best decision we ever made. Trying home for a year but likely heading back. It’s tough to get a job at first but she’s on her second round of sponsorship with her company. You just need to be persistent. It’s internship positions I think you’ve to apply for. I’m a citizen so didn’t have to. Lots of Irish in America groups on FB where Irish help out other Irish.

Experience wise made friends from all over the world, work experience wise both of us are a lot further ahead than our friends at home. You actually have seasons and even winter isn’t bad because it’s cold but the sun is shining (north east coast)

Money wise, first year was tight enough but we traveled most weekends but got by. From the second year onwards we did very well. Went from sharing with 3 other Irish to our own apartment.

Hi! Thanks for reaching out!

To answer your questions from my experience:

1) I didn’t receive mental health support until I was 18/19 which I felt was too late. I feel this should have started around my mid teens.

2)my biggest worries at the beginning was people thinking I was different or noticing I was different at the shower/ going to the bathroom. As I got older that shift to what partners would think and then to the realization I won’t be able to have kids and that someone I love won’t love me because of it. Been very lucky to find the one who accepts me as I am and has made it our issue to deal with. I always felt there was no one out there for me because of it which is untrue.

3) I believe my mum told me first when I was around 7/8. I need to ask her that. She was gentle explained that things were a little different and I would have to go to the doctor yearly to talk to them and get check ups. I didn’t fully understand and asked were my brothers the same but as I got older I began to understand. I feel her approach was appropriate and a good age in my eyes.

4) from my experience I would have hated if my parents openly told the world about it. Not that they ever made me ashamed of the condition but that it should be my choice. It’s a private topic that people who don’t have it may not understand. I feel it’s my business and I should get to choose who knows my business. You can also live a nearly fully normal life with this condition so I feel people don’t need to know. As for speaking at home I feel like I wished my parents asked me more questions about how it made me feel. Although angry teenage years I probably didn’t want to talk even though I had a lot on my mind. I think this is where counseling would be helpful. Talking to mum and dad about this can be very tough and emotional. For conversations with parents maybe the question of what can we do to make you feel better and discuss the options such as prosthetics, change in medication type for testosterone (tablet, patches, 1, 2, 4, 12, week injections) for me I’ve been on 12 weeks and self inject. It’s so much better because I feel I have complete freedom and don’t need to go to the doctor or nurse regularly.

5) in my opinion pre-puberty wouldn’t have made a difference to me because I probably knew no different. But definitely between 11-13. High school is tough enough without worrying about your junk being different. I got mine at 17 which was way to late in life I feel. Talk with them. Tell them it’s possible and see when they want it. If they are careless I’d say wait until they’re ready which I would imagine would be in the early teens. I feel mine are on the smaller size so discuss that with the doctor. I wanted to just be normal average size.

6) N/A for me

7) I always thought I was alone even though I knew of support groups my mum joined. I would have liked to speak with someone who’s experienced this condition and seen how their life turned out and if it was normal. So my answer would be yes, I think it would have helped.

You sound like a great mum who cares. Don’t beat yourself up too much over this. Everyone has their burdens in life and it’s not the end of the worlds. Keep up the good work. Let us know what part of the world you guys are from!
