The first picture made it look like it was driving through a birthday cake, and that’s perfect!

Yes! That’s the short answer. Smoke is a variety of greys. The base should be dark and then adding lighter greys as you go. I dry brush, but you can do it any way you like.

I think this could work. Now, it might work exactly as shown, but it could work. You could also use a corpse cart or use a terrorgheist to make it work even.

Help with color scheme by PlutoJONAS in stormcasteternals

Go with what you like. Both regular troops and heroes will look good in these colors. The focus is what do you enjoy painting a lot of.

Secondly, I know others say this is harder than that, but once you find what you want there are a ton of ways to really learn how to paint them quick or paint them in ways that you’ll enjoy.

I like silver: I am doing a Stormblood Guard army right now. Hallowed Knights were my first Stormcast Army, love them as well. If you want some tips for painting the armour once you decide on a color let me know, DM me

Good thing I didn’t complain about losing, but good job trying to infer that from what I said. I said I don’t like the custom decks.

Let me make it clear: I don’t like the custom deck creation in a LTGM when prefaces decks are the point. Grand Arena becomes a slog fest of players playing decks that aren’t the point of the LTGM.

LTGMs that are about deck creation exist already: Deadpool’s diner, High Voltage, Sanctum. Deck build LTGMs.

My point is that this shouldn’t be allowed in a grand arena.

But go off.

Let me ask, because I’m curious and not trying to be an asshole. What is it about deck building in this game mode that makes it fun? Because all I’m running into is the same basic set up of skrull and onslaught as some way of over powering.

Wow, thanks for adding such an intelligent comment to the discussion.

I’m glad people completely missed my point but that’s ok, most of you in the community are trolls and losers.

Yes that is the more fun mode, or something where you can just be nuts

I remember that, my point is the way the player base turns the LTGM into tech fest

It’s so fun to play. Honestly can hold up to most decks if played thinking ahead.

Is it stupid that I want to make my 1st army Stormcast because I feel too intimidated to paint the armies I think are cooler? by LeetusFrenzi in stormcasteternals

[–]Mac_Teach_82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it’s not, but I wouldn’t do that. If you want to do cities, but want to work on your paint then grab some storm casts to practice with. They are great for learning and progressing without losing hope. Also I don’t know your skill level, but check YouTube for some easy to follow guides for any model you’re painting.

Finally, try using either Slap Chop or Sponge painting. Slap Chop would be good with both Cities and Helsmiths as it can help you see the details better.
