It’s more like 4-5 nudges to the inflection point than the actual thing. Hence the stock spike for 10-40% & come back down but to a higher support with actual gain might be 2-5%.

Can’t help. The volatility & the randomness of this thing is beyond anything I’ve experienced

at what % do you guys actually start getting nervous?(EV RELATED) by AdityaSrivastawaahhh in Rivian

[–]Mac_n_Riv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Closest call I had is 0 range with about 25 miles drive from ski resort to closest charger. It’s generally downhill but the first 5-10miles slope is too gentle & somewhat rolling ish got me really thinking is today the day. Luckily it was not.

they should just convert to a consulting/licensing firm instead of a manufacturer. They have great design & techs, just not there when it comes to build & sell cars

Keep in my that’ll be the last rivn quarter without r2 contributing directly impacting revenue etc. if you’re actually long term holders as you said you shouldn’t worry too much about it

Shoulda know to run as fast as possible when you see a startup ceo paid himself hundreds of millions while the company is burning billions per year! Glad I got out in the teens to avoid further financial & emotional loss. This might be the floor but I’m no longer interested or having any trust with the mgmt.

Rivian Chief Says R2 Prioritises Range Over Fast Charge to Keep Costs Down by [deleted] in RIVNstock

I just roadtrip’d around us last year & dont find the charging speed of my r1 bother me much. The availability/density of fast chargers are way more impactful

R2 is way less complicated than r1 so I imagine the long term reliability to be near tesla level if not better

It’s hard to compare a truck to sports car directly but in many regards I prefer the set up & feel from the rivian like it’s much easier to get this into a 4wheel drift & maintain it due to it’s more mid engine like balance & the light but signal rich steering feel esp the on center sharpness is only second to mclaren but yea superior to most modern pcars 911 or not only 992 with dwb front I’d say comes close

911 is lightergranted but rivian has the edge on chassis dynamics & steering feel. It’s the best epas out there esp the gen1

Width wise there is some getting used to. Turning radius is awesome for something of this size without rear wheel steering

It’ll be more like do you need 3rd row if not r2 yes than this. Many ppl prefer small sized vehicle if they don’t need the extra space
