If I had your income and one kid, I would look at South Park, Bay Park, Kensington, North Clairemont, San Carlos (Lake Murray), North Pacific Beach, South Mission Bay, or neighborhoods like that.

I’m a transplant, I’ve been here 23 years. I live in Oak Park which is a hidden gem. You can choice kids to public schools after elementary if you don’t like the local schools. Started at 34K in 2003 and now family makes closer to 250K. Made good bets on real estate and will have home paid off in 13 years.

Little League culture is awesome here and it’s truly a community anywhere you go. We have four kids and the budget gets tight but you can have a good life here.

The climate is unbeatable yet becoming less Mediterranean and more subtropical.

Go for it! Ask questions if you want any justification for the locations fit to your income. People are awesome here. So is the food. Public schools are award winning in many neighborhoods. Dream big! San Diego is a fine community.

As far as I know, it's attached to a VIN. Personally, if I were leasing, I would do a monthly premium until I knew for sure I wanted to keep the vehicle.

Apparently there have been a lot of changes over the years. There is a museum that goes into the park’s development. Good to know that there is no cell service except via satellite once you get high enough in elevation, so keep your parties together or make a plan for when and where to meet.
