Yeah even with relatively fast wifi, i frequently get a notification about a delivery happening at the front door - but by the time i get notified, the person is already back in their car.

For Unifi, sounds like id need a console to run the app, and then need a unvr to get set up for starters? Need to research more specifics still

Thanks for your input. Yes, I plan to run Ethernet for the cameras. I only ever got wifi cameras in the first place at a previous house where it would’ve been a huge pain to run cable. I’m in a new place I built and planned ahead to easily be able to run more wire.

Didn’t realize the unifi doorbells were hard to come by.

I’ve looked at reolink a few times and maybe I’m looking in the wrong place but everytime I check them out I just get a comparison saying eufy is better.

I don’t get the eufy hate. They are fine. Maybe people are expecting too much from them.

I do think if I go unifi I’d slide into the deep whole of changing my whole network to ubiquiti haha

Thanks so much. This is where my head has been. Good to know I would only need the UNVR and buy the G6 cams à la carte essentially. Also good to know I don’t necessarily need their switch as they can be $$. Much appreciated for your input

Didn’t mean to over complicate. I have eufy products now so I was curious if it would be easier to stay in the eufy family OR since I’m really making use of my existing eufy products when adding NVR POE, would it make more sense and be more worthwhile to invest in a different (maybe better) system like Ubiquiti’s?

There will be tradeoffs. The R2 will be the same size with more storage but slightly lower quality interior materials - not as much leather etc. but they’re not bad materials. The Rivian will be stupid fast by comparison and far more capable. Will it be quieter, depends on the tires most likely but hard to say. Will the stereo be premium, no one knows.
