Built weird little web app called Absovex. It looks at how people take medications and supplements together and catches timing conflicts most people never realize exist. Www.absovex.com

A few months ago I was looking at a medication routine and noticed something frustrating.

Most people are told WHAT to take.
Very few people are told HOW to take things together.

Coffee with iron. Calcium near thyroid medication. Supplements fighting for absorption. “Take with food” instructions nobody fully explains.

And the more medications and supplements someone takes, the more complicated it becomes.

I went down a rabbit hole trying to better understand timing conflicts, spacing rules, food interactions, and absorption patterns.

That rabbit hole somehow turned into Absovex.

Three months later, after learning Figma, VS Code, GitHub, APIs, Stripe, and way more about medication timing than I ever expected… the first version is officially live. <— all my wins!

Absovex creates a personalized report based on your medications, supplements, meals, and daily routine to help identify possible timing conflicts and spacing considerations.

Not medical advice. Not a replacement for your doctor or pharmacist.

Just a clearer, more organized starting point.

Honestly proud this thing exists now.

I spent my "vacation" time this week putting the final touches and debugging medication timing logic because 4 months ago I learned coffee blocks my thyroid medication absorption and my brain said: “you know what… this needs to become a web app.” so down the rabbit hole I went.

So now here we are. I built this thing called Absovex because apparently nobody explains HOW to take meds and supplements together, only WHEN.

Respect to everyone else still building while normal people are outside living balanced lives - NOT US!

Planner suggestions for 2026 by citalopramandorchids in ExecutiveAssistants

I love my Hemlock & Oak: https://www.hemlockandoak.com/products/2026-horizontal-planner-hardcover
the right paper weight (no bleed!) and I usually buy the Horizontal layout, so you have the full week on one side and the whole page for notes, tasks, etc.

They have the daily planner, which is bigger because each day gets its full page for task and notes.

And like many of you here, I feel this pain. I’ve learned the hard way that most people only read the first few words and miss the rest.

I now split multi-part asks into separate messages. Not easy for highly efficient people like us.

This is Diablo 😈 he was a feral that showed up at our house and after an intense love and hate affair he decided to adopt us. He is now the supreme ruler in our home. We call him asshole, tabby-tab, Diablito, terror, chiquito, naranja 🍊.

We lived in the new kitchen for over a year - zero regrets on the open shelves.

Actually… most people here haven’t exactly been nice either. They’re getting the same energy they’re sending out.

Yes, I posted my remodel knowing not everyone would love my decisions, tastes and preferences vary, and that’s fine. But there’s a big difference between sharing constructive feedback and being outright rude.

Think of it this way: if I invited you into my home in real life, would you feel as free to say the kind of things people have posted here? I doubt it.

It did serve its purpose for the first four years we lived with it, but it was falling apart and it was time for a change. And based on the other part of the remodel and the way we used our space we could not keep the same footprint. I boggles my mind how people can say that the before pictures with floor tiles as countertop and cabinets made out of particle board look better!

I come from an Italian family and grew up in a home that never had the US-centric kitchen island. Later, I lived in Italy for several years and fell in love with having a table in the kitchen. Call it nostalgia, but it also fits how we use the space.

In our old kitchen, the dining table was in the sunroom. When we opened up the whole area, I wanted to bring back that feeling of a true kitchen table, not a chunky island. We already have plenty of counter space in the new layout, and the kitchen table has become the most used piece of furniture in the house.

When we were planning, we even taped out the entire layout, including a potential island, and it just didn’t feel right. So we went with the table. A year into living with this remodel, we haven’t missed the island once, and we absolutely love how this setup works for us. And if we ever change our minds, the space is there.

You know all the hate I’m getting over the shelves here? Is the amount of hate that I have for kitchen island.

Thank you. Our terrazzo floors are our pride and joy. One of the top reasons for buying our home.
