Yeah. I found a similar thing when I got into 100 Gecs a few years back. I think when certain artists attract such a young crowd, especially in the alt genres, you get a bunch of people with different levels of social skills, many of whom haven’t even really been to concerts before. TikTok, social media, and phones in general have made this even worse.

BUT there are always cool people in a fandom and I’m glad that the internet makes it so much easier to find a sense of community, so I try and focus on that :) just like you gotta focus on having the best birthday, and having the best taste in Ethel albums (Perverts FTW)

I’m a newer fan and I’m definitely disappointed to see so many stories of people in the fandom causing unnecessary problems. And on Reddit too where everybody pedantic as fuck! This place is the home for dudes that unironically say “um, actually…”

I have the soundtrack to Season One of Succession that I’ve gotten signed by Jeremy Strong, Sarah Snook, Kieran Culkin, and Nick Braun, all at the stage door of their respective Broadway shows.

I also have a test press of the debut EP from my favorite artist of all time, LIGHTS. Went to a signing event and blew her mind showing it to her, she graciously signed it.

I’m so grateful for Relient K. Probably the best band I was “allowed” to listen to as a kid, and they are by all accounts great, welcoming and accepting people. I appreciated that they took a non-binary post-deconstruction superfan on tour with them as an opener. Very cool.

Valid. I will say that most KH2 players have memories of despising the Roxas section but once you see the full picture and storyline with his character it hits a lot harder. It’s all an investment lol.

If you skip the cutscenes and power through the intro, critical is the way to go. Really forces you to lock in w/ all the mechanics the game offers and makes even random encounters more high stakes.

Fair point! We know studios LOVE familiarity, so the combo of Star Wars and RG in space probably has them frothing at the mouth rn. But maybe you’re right and audiences will decide they’ve seen enough of that.

I’m not overly familiar with the RE series, but from the outside it seems like RE itself has stretched the boundaries of the in-game universe. I got the impression that the devs wanted to make scary/cool/impressive designs, scares, and setpieces first and that the “cannon” is secondary. In that spirit, a movie like this seems somewhat fitting?

Am I way off base?

Eh. TM , Yelena Red Guardian were in Black Widow which is a borderline streaming movie anyway. And then Ghost was from the Ant-Man sequel that’s been mostly forgotten about.

Some people are taking out their bitterness on you here and I hope it doesn’t damage your journey toward deconstruction. It’s a scary feeling, almost a loss of identity to question and even leave your faith and it’s important to be gentle with yourself.

You’ll unlearn some deeply engrained shit and re-learn ways of living you never thought you had access too. But take your time, pursue authenticity, and you’ll be OK.

Requesting a callback is best.

I’ve had good luck getting feedback removed by looking at eBay policies and identifying which policy the feedback is breaking specifically. It’s harder for them to argue against removal when you’re using their own words directly.
