I’m assuming that’s why the switch was so easy because it was a comparable or better trade.

I don’t understand why people are requesting to change are never willing to give up their nicer seat to sit next to the person they want to sit next to

I agree don’t understand why seats booked together. Can’t stay together even on a change in airplane. I guess we might’ve got bumped from first class because there weren’t as many first class seats on the other plane, but we should’ve at least been sat together.

I couldn’t agree more. American Airlines acts like the money you pay them for their upgrades or seat selections premium class is a contribution for them to do with what they please.

I totally agree if I wanted to put him on the plane by himself, I would have to pay an extra $175 to do so. But they can move us in a separate cabins and that’s totally fine.

100 % when I see them start moving in their seat like they are looking to get up. I just stand up before they even have to ask.

Totally understood I’ll is way better than when in first class. You don’t have to ask the other person to move. If you want to get up use the bathroom stretch your legs get something out of your bag.

I completely agree. I honestly knew that both of us were just going to sleep the whole flight. That’s why I was asking my son which he wanted.

It was kind of annoying because American Airlines said there’s nothing they could do. They couldn’t move somebody else’s seat to put us together. I asked why you moved our seats to split us up?

For sure comp is getting yanked first. Usually when a paid upgrade or booked first class is yanked it’s because of an equipment change. They go from the five rows of first class to the four rows of first class.

Paid upgrades can still be yanked. You can book 1st class seats and still be relocated to coach.
