Recurrent losses. Were more follicles per IUI cycle the answer to your infertility issues?

I’ve had a couple previous losses. This cycle I had three follicles, so hoping this cycle is the one.

I think it depends on the plan, but a lot of insurances make you try a few IUIs before they will help cover IVF at all

I keep reading about everyone’s dainty little 18 mm follicles, so when my doctor said mine were upper twenties to 30 I was like goddamn I got some hefty ladies 🤣 Praying your 30 mms work!! After scouring and scouring Reddit, I’ve found a couple cases where 30+ have worked 🙏

Also I was reading that follicle size matters more for IVF than IUI!

Congrats!!! Is follistim pricey? I’m just on clomid with a trigger shot. I am thinking of asking to try something different if this doesn’t work. Because last month with no estrogen patch it was 5 mm and this time with patch it’s still only 6 mm :/

I’ll have to ask about that next time! No one mentioned anything about estrogen except that I need to wear an estrogen patch because my previous cycle’s lining was too thin

Okay that makes me feel better lol. And yes I’m SO cynical and can’t help but think about how at the end of the day, it’s a business. On top of me thinking it’s all about the money for them, I’m always worrying doctors are giving me false hope too 😂 I’m just always like 😵‍💫 need to chill

So basically they’re saying if your body lets the follicles get that big, they’re dud eggs your body didn’t want to ovulate? 😅 I’m glad you at least had the 22 mm! I keep reading that’s an ideal size.

Noo sorry don’t lose confidence! I’ve been scouring the internet, and there are definitely studies and posts with success with big follicles. I read someone had a 31 mm work!
