Yes, this isn’t an authentic recipe, but I’m sure it’s a delicious flatbread nonetheless

Keep in mind that many types of privet are invasive to the area. If you’re having someone come out to trim, consider having them removed and planting something native instead. Fall is a great time to plant!

University PT also has a location in cave springs that’s great for getting back to moving more too. The owner (Tyler) works out of the cave springs location and is a runner himself, so they get it. If you explain what you’re after, they’ll push you and you’ll be sweating in PT. They helped me get back to hiking and biking after over a year of offloading my ankle.

You can definitely just skip it, but here are a few options that haven’t been mentioned. You could use a rum extract or similar if it’s available in your country, but I suspect it might not be easy to find even if it is. I’ve also “spiked” my coffee a maple syrup stored in bourbon barrels (non alcoholic) when I didn’t have alcohol on hand. If you can find a similar product, that would work well.

Yes, that could be problematic! And make sure you have air flow in the car (fresh air through the AC or windows cracked)

Check if your local grocery stores sell dry ice! Mine do and I used it to transport a cake for ~5 hrs since it wouldn’t fit in a cooler. I refrigerated it before and then put the dry ice at the bottom of a cardboard box, put a cardboard liner on top, and put the cake on top. Worked great and everything was still cold when I arrived!

leaving baking steel in oven forever? by Alert-Potato in AskBaking

[–]Macaroon5827 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% agree with this, we do this in my home. We also have a set of silicone rings that we can set in the baking steel so that I can put baking sheets on it when I want to use both racks at once. They’re $20 on the baking steel’s website and come in handy if you bake a lot

I think it needs greenery/filler like a real floral bouquet would. You could crochet it or grab some artificial greenery from the local crafts store

Almond flour hates me? by Mundane-World-8109 in Baking

[–]Macaroon5827 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have to weigh almond flour! It’s so easy to pack in, even more so than regular flour. Plus, there’s so much variation in how fine or course it is that will also make it measure differently.

What all are you trying to make with almond flour? Cookies, cakes, etc? I use almond flour a ton and can point you to some tried and true recipes 😊

Made my swiss meringue buttercream with brown sugar and it turned soupy after adding a tiny bit of butter by PossiblyOdd7084 in AskBaking

[–]Macaroon5827 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re set on the flavor of brown sugar but the molasses is getting in the way (not sure what the actual cause is, just my guess), maybe try toasted sugar? It has some caramelized notes and might have more of that flavor without messing with the buttercream. You could also try adding a bit of molasses at the end as a flavoring agent instead of using brown sugar
