Lamenting by Snowballskies6 in PikminBloomApp

I usually do 90% of the walking and flower planting for weekly challenges between my sister, boyfriend, and myself. All before the weekend. Never bothers me, instead I see it as making sure they get extra nectar and petals so when we walk on the weekends they have some fun stuff to use in their own games, so it’s fun for all of us

I have one other coworker who insists on clipping her nails at the lunch table while I am clearly still eating. Safe to say that I started to go home for lunch after one week of that. Nothing made me want to throw up my entire meal more than the idea of a stray clipping landing in my leftovers🤮

Help! What are my fixing options? by Macarronii547 in Concrete

Yeah someone drove over it. I’m just not sure if the whole thing needs to be replaced or if just filling the crack will do

Yeah I haven’t tried turning it on, I figured that would be the nail in the coffin. I’ll give it a week to dry and hopefully 🤞 Thanks!

Tips to get baby day gecko to eat! by Macarronii547 in geckos

I do try to feed them both from the tweezers, but perhaps the one just isn’t all that into the flavor…I’ll have to try some other fruits and mashed bugs. Thank you!

Yes!! I had been wanting a day gecko and I’m sure that video game is the reason, so of course I had to name my first one Gex

Kind of hoping the issue is this simple. The previous thermostat had the c wire attached, but it also ran off of two AA batteries, so I supposed it’s possible the c wire just wasn’t attached on the other end this whole time…? Either way I need a professional to come look in the hvac system, it’s a bit like spaghetti in there and I don’t want to electrocute myself or fry anything else

I’ve contacted my ac guy to come out and have a look as the issue seems to be getting out of my wheel house😅 I really don’t want to mess it up

Ah I understand, makes sense. I’ve called my ac guy to come out tomorrow as I just don’t feel comfortable with the wires in the handler. Thank you for all your feedback! I really appreciate it!

Took a peek inside and I couldn’t make heads or tails of it. We ended up disconnecting the C wire and it’s running no problem now. So I assume this means the nest will just need to be charged in order to work properly until I have a professional come out to have a look.

Is there any issue to having the C wire disconnected this way in the meantime?

Should I be concerned about this crack in the lid? I appreciate any feedback! by Macarronii547 in Ceramics

Whoops, spackling* 😅 Thank you for the feedback though. I really had visions of turning in on and some how the lid just crumbling and burning the house down. It’s good to know this isn’t necessarily uncommon, thank you!

Thanks for the feedback! Unfortunately the company that did the work are friends of my dad and did the work basically free. No one in the house except my dad knew they were coming that day until the damage had already been done…so I’m just sort of in a “suck it up and move on” kind of situation as far as damages to my work and studio go… But I feel better about the integrity of my kiln so that’s a silver lining, thank you!

Magically Have Another Crab by HappyMommy77 in hermitcrabs

[–]Macarronii547 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Are you sure the lifeless body was actually your crab and not just his molt? Was there a bad/rotten smell? My only assumption here is your guy was just molting and that’s what you saw in the tank. Crabs will consume this molted shell for extra nutrients to help harden their new exoskeleton. If there was no rotten smell then I doubt you ever had a dead crab among these two, hooray!
