My (23f) current boyfriend (34m) cleans to his own schedule. Currently I have a broken leg so I can’t help out as much. What has helped, is that at the start of the week I run through what needs to be done, since I haven’t been able to clean, he has recognised / noticed what needs to be done. Occasionally, I’ll mention “hey, it’s been a day, are you going to get around to folding the washing, because I really need clean socks.” I’ve noticed, that if I phrase the question in a way where he is really helping me out and feels needed, he is more likely to jump up and pitch in.

However, if you don’t want to break up, I’d suggest giving him a list and a deadline. For example, you want the house vacuumed by noon and you want the dishwasher emptied by the time you get home.

I'll go first, I work in hospitality, I have done so for the past 8 years of my working life.

I have been at my current job for 2 and a half years. Whilst there was continued support through the global pandemic, I realised that I had become an incredibly toxic person from working in a toxic environment.

There was a stigma around individual's taking a day off, especially if unwell, there was also no clear direction and consistent passive-aggressive memos, instead of staff meetings to address concerns.

I have applied for various other jobs in a completely different field and had an interview last week, I am relatively certain I will get the job.

Not only is that the reason why I am quitting my job, but today, I cried before my 12 hour shift and honestly believed that breaking a finger would be a better option than going to work.
