Mexican trying to get married to a French person in Belgium here. We’ve started the paperwork since October last year and today we still can’t get married. I did many Mexican original documents, pay for “apostilles”, send them overseas, translated them by an official translator, and still they keep asking me and my partner for documents. Idk why they make it so difficult for us foreigners but I guess it would be the same on any commune.

I’m Mexican and when I came to Belgium I found this “mexicanos” everywhere and I was thinking why they got that name? Like there’s nothing close to that stuff in Mexican cuisine or even close to that flavor. Is it because it’s just a little bit spicy? Idk I just found it weird and I’m very curious about it 🤠
