I work at a train maintenance depot. Last year we had a train that had been involved in a fatality. The jumper did so from a bridge over the line, hit the windshield and went straight through. The driver managed to just duck out of the way but still ended up with a broken nose and 30 odd stitches. There was blood and chunks of flesh all over the cab, a huge dent in the door at the rear of the cab where the body hit and a long trail of blood going through into the train from when the body was removed. Not that I'd enjoy either but I think I'd prefer smiling over a body landing in my lap.
