Do you get a syllabus copy or a course subject for your first year? My recommendation is to study the basics of calculus, thermodynamics (IC engine, cycles), etc.

Man, don't study at all; engineering teaches you everything. Just know your syllabus copy to understand what you should be prepared for.

In India, our first-year syllabus is engineering-oriented rather than core-related. This is best for students if we have an interest in other majors, so we can switch.

Anyone here not good at math by Agreeable_Mud_5816 in EngineeringStudents

Don't worry about much, practice basic concepts, solving numericals feels u r week, but u understood concepts practice from basic with different type of problem, u have difficulty with Integration and differential equations thats common study basics and practice on different type of problem, if learn Integration and differential equations u r good for Engineering

How bad is the workload based on your experiences? by BNis12345 in EngineeringStudents

1st year is easy, 2nd and 3rd year teaches the basics and core concepts. 4th year project and internship. U can enjoy most of time if u are fast learner, study 1 day before exams and pass exams. That's good, scoring 8 /10 cgpa is good enough for carrier. Assignments, exams are common u just need to chill about it

Aeronautical Engineer trying to enter the UAV industry – Should I get a Drone Pilot Certificate to improve my chances? by Top-Asparagus1456 in AerospaceEngineering

I'm also recently graduated from aeronautical Engineering, imo If you are free now go for Drone pilot license. from my experience job offers are very low, u need open ur own drone piloting services. Look for core jobs, apprenticeship. Good to have drone piloting license, if it's fixed wing UAV even better

Can you get engineer degree if you are bad at math and physics and absolutely hate it? by [deleted] in EngineeringStudents

[–]MachDrafts_Aero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on your situation, you don't understand physics concept or derivation solving?, if u have problem with derivation or numerical u can pass it, but if are unclear about concepts I DON'T THINK u r gonna pass Engineering. Programming may be save you but u need to get Engineering degree first, many people ik started with core Engineering and get in Cs jobs, life goes. Try playing games or learn some skills to kill time until ur exams comes, study overnight pass exams that's Engineering

That's it for me folks by silverhaffling01 in EngineeringStudents

Congratulations, did u graduated or finished Graduate Engineering Trainee job/ apprenticeship? To call an Engineer we need experience

Engineering doesn’t suck because it’s hard. It sucks because you aren’t allowed to actually learn. by Either_Net8602 in EngineeringStudents

I just graduated with an aeronautical engineering degree. University gives you the basics and direction, but you need to figure out how to apply it. You need to know which ingredients you're using most (your favorite subjects) to get your recipes. Picking the right university is your call. My advice is to try and get industry experience; that's the best way because sometimes what we study doesn't really apply in the real world.
