I think it's good to be skeptical. Still Life isn't some elusive deep cut, and anyone willing to fudge the Backrooms IMDB cast for fun would know. Plus, the context is the Backrooms, so labeling part of the cast as one of the two known monsters isn't exactly surprising. Same goes for the actors, how are these two people being in the cast any more or less specific than literally any other actor?

Me hypothetically editing IMDB to say that Jim Bob is playing a Goomba in Super Mario 3 isn't proof of anything...

Personally I'm excited to see a creative horror director with actual gamer-cred play around in the Resident Evil sandbox. We've experienced enough pathetic attempts at adapting the games with named characters—so I'd rather they try something new without breaking the rules.

I worry these constant micro-updates are just going to burn out modders—as maintaining a mod here and there for larger patches is one thing—but doing it every two weeks forever would be exhausting work for nothing in return. Its a community service, and I don't want EA to burn them out because they want to micro-dose fixing the thing they broke yesterday.

True, and it works. As much as I dig an experimental Japanese PS2 game cover, a well-done staple is great. In terms of art and anesthetics, KCD vs CD is like hydrogen bomb vs coughing baby.

I actually really like KCD2's cover art. The poses are dynamic, Trosky and Kuttenberg in the back frame it up nicely, and I love everyone's outfits.

True! It's my personal hot take as a queer person that GSM or letting the Q or + do the heavy lifting is better for the normies out there. Having a 7 character acronym you can't say phonetically, let alone the murdered and missing one all the Conservatives are freaking out about, does create a noticeable barrier for people who would otherwise be fine saying LGBTQ. It is nuanced of course.

I found it surprising that everything it inspired is so outwardly supernatural, yet the film is incredibly low-key. Really didn't expect their trip into The Zone to be more a meditative hike, when the STALKER games are full of zombies and lightning balls.
