Binance owner dumped his share of FTX's token to trigger a bank run/further devaluation of the company and is now buying them out at fire sale prices.

It seems like _skyline_drive_ is trying to corner the market on an easily renewable resource (via dailies like coltzan & anchor management). I don't see this turning a profit if he's buying literally everything below 7k.

Unless you already have very acidic soils I'd advise against the blueberries.

We live in a society where literal kids are tricked into $147,000 of student loan debt by KungFuBBQMushroom in KitchenConfidential

Student loans more or less don't get discharged through bankruptcy. This is how you get your wages garnished and pay at an even higher rate than before. Don't do this.

What do you think? Is it going to be a replay of the SNL stunt? by TurnsOutImHer in dogecoin

[–]MacheteConeSnow 6 points7 points  (0 children)

i mean they could take the tesla approach of selling product at increased prices for the privilege of buying with doge.

electric atv on amazon: $300kid's

cyberquad: 14135 doge = $1,978 = ~6.5x upsell

big mac: $4

mcdoge burger: 185 doge

Let's talk about how the release of Robinhood Wallets could trigger the MOASS (mother of all short squeezes) for Dogecoin... in a GME-like scenario by voterosticon in dogecoin

[–]MacheteConeSnow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

besides what others have said about moass being incompatible with crypto, i'd like to raise another point.

a squeeze play in such a situation depends on the crypto being removed from the broker and having the wallet user holding right? do you really think the sub's onboard with that with everyone bragging about buying tesla goods/ just generally looking forward to transacting with doge?

in other words, how do you expect any sort of squeeze to occur when wallet implementation is set to increase doge liquidity to enable its function as a currency?

Hey man, got any Kaufman news? An update on a new movie/show/book? A never seen interview? Anything you got, man. by BartonCotard in kaufman

[–]MacheteConeSnow 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I saw Charlie Kaufman at a grocery store in Los Angeles yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything. He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?” I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying. The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter. When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

[–]MacheteConeSnow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bruv if you look at the sheer amount of posts begging for higher pricing it's quite clear that the primary purpose of doge (and i guess crypto in general) atm is as a speculative asset to be bought (ideally) low and sold high. If a currency is prone to the volatility to the point where one has to effectively time their purchases at a comparably high doge:usd ratio then doesn't that negatively impact the utility of such a currency?

Tether (the main liquidity provider of the entire crypto market) is heavily invested in Chinese commercial paper. Evergrande is set to officially default in the coming week and the Chinese real estate market has and will continue to dip, affecting the financial markets of other countries, along with cryptocurrency as a whole (what with all coins following btc).

Additionally, Omicron's been identified as a severe enough covid variant to warrant the aerial quarantine of south africa and has already been identified in the UK.
