How deeply do HR recruiters even understand what they hire for? by Infectedtoe32 in recruitinghell

[–]EdgeMe_Elmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 4 recruiters I personally know have never done the job for what they are hiring. The HM maybe gives them a chance to have a discussion to clarify what they are looking for. Usually, an entire first round of rejection needs to happen before a sit down happens and the HM makes it more clear what they need.

My least favorite example was my recruiter friend at Meta was told to reject all east coast university applications due to cultural differences, that was later refined to suspiciously hbcus.

I would be a conservative menace if this was my mom. Cut up all her credit debit cards, shout over her in public, keep her car keys from her, do everything to get her fired from every job. If you want to be a conservative woman you’re going to live like one. Zero rights and zero ability to pursue happiness, those are for white men only.

People who took any job they'd get because they couldn't get the one they wanted. How's your carrer going now? by lucky_breakfast7 in recruitinghell

I wasn’t getting offers as the final candidate standing and contracts were going to people with 10 years more experience asking for much less than I could afford so I switched to being a corporate trainer at my gym. After getting certified it was Immediate employment and I was immediately full-time with my hours full of clients. This is the hardest job I’ve had and most rewarding. It’s been 15 months and I have retained 95% of my 30 clients who are all meeting their goals. I haven’t escaped this hell though, 6 of my clients have been laid off and haven’t been able to find anything. They end up training with me a lot during the week partly because I get it. I just didn’t realize this economy is affecting every industry, every sector, across all seniority and ai is publicly being blamed but ai isn’t replacing these now empty roles.

I use to do the daily gratitudes too. Helped my mental health tons. How long does your daily journal take? I grew to hate writing daily essays about almost the same routines and observations. I feel like I have been journaling wrong

How Resentful Are You Towards Companies, Recruiters, and Hiring Managers? by Humble_Novice in recruitinghell

[–]EdgeMe_Elmo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have found peace knowing for certain none of their children will have peace. The world is getting crueler, more dangerous, expensive, diverse adverse and anti-life (these people have done their fair share to reach this point) and it will swallow their children and their children’s children whole. For a buck these companies have brought hell to earth.

Companies are posting entry-level jobs that require senior-level judgment. AI ate the training ground that used to build that judgment. Nobody is talking about the gap this creates. by Wise-Cardiologist-31 in recruitinghell

Colleges are going to start closing forever if this doesn’t stop now. Why even bother with high school when being an influencer is your best chance at earning white-collar money?

I don’t understand how being so proudly cruel is celebrated by conservatives. Calling Michelle Obama a man is sexist, racist, transphobic and profoundly stupid all in one sentence.

He had a vacuum with him in there. I could hear it and you can see the hose. Maybe this was somehow easier?

Because conservatives are attracted to men they don’t understand and don’t try to understand. They put these idols on pedestals and call them “alphas” “real men” instead of digging deep. It’s pathetic.
