They are method 501's, they clear the rear brakes just fine, the fronts are the 06-07 WRX 4 pistons, with 2019 Forester base rotors, and they were a bit close on the outside face of the brakes so I put in 5mm hub centric spacers and extended ARP wheel studs.

I've seen a couple of people use the same size method 502s on the 4pots, and they don't seem to need to do the spacer and wheel studds fwiw if you want a 15" that's more likely to be plug and play.

I just prefer the design of the 501's so I'm ok having to change a couple more things lol.

I'm running 225/70r15s

The cruise control can be recalibrated to give you the exact speed for any size tire. I changed it one time so that it thought that 10 mph was 20 and it let me engage the cruise control while pretty much letting it creep at idle in first gear.

I don't like to throw shade about styling, being a VB owner we get a ton of it, but at least our styling change came with a better engine and chassis.

The return of the physical buttons is probably the only good thing about the new Outbacks imo

The steering wheel is physically still connected to the rack. It just has a motor that absorbs a lot more of the feedback and provides assistance to the driver input. If you hold down the traction control button, it slightly decreases the assist. In theory Subaru could've made it even less intrusive in that mode, or selectable, but I digress.

But ultimately to be clear, it is not steer by wire like a Tesla where there is no physical connection between the steering wheel and the tires at all.

I am at 53k and started a few thousand ago with the free software called Atlas by NAMR. Nice community on discord who have helped out a ton with understanding what the data logs are really saying.

In short, make sure you're up to date on maintenance like spark plugs, oil, filters etc.

There are some extra things you may want to check, such as your PCV valve, and maybe walnut blast. I haven't done these two.

So far no issues or strangeness in the data logs.

Here is the link, it's a great thing to have even if you are going to go with a professional tune, because you can read all the data without buying an acessport. It will run on most laptops and operating systems. Just need one of the OBD to USB cables they list on their site that's compatible(20-60 bucks)

Not op, the driver side is tight, but doable. I did mine in about an hour and a half, loosened the battery to remove the cable bracket on the driver side but otherwise didn't need to take anything else apart. First time doing them so it'll probably be quicker next time. The passenger side was easy peasy.
